White Democrats to be precise.
No, that is not more precise. All of white culture is to blame.
White Democrats to be precise.
There is a white culture. It is the basis for American culture. Its racism helped to create the black culture and all the other sub cultures that white culture wanted to be sure knew their place in the pecking order.
You should ask them. You won't find any here though.
But as long as white owned housing has greater market value than black owned housing, even when incomes are the same, nothing is going to change.
I short, white people need to get over their fear of white people. Most of my clueless white friends seem to think blacks want to do to us what we have done to them all these years, but its just not true.
Untile we reckon with our racist past and its consequences today, the race issue will not be resolved.
That will never happen. Our racist past will always be excused as being something that we just didn’t know any better at the time. That is the lame excuse of whites. We created the black underclass based on racist attitudes of those in power. There were plenty of whites then who saw the problem but their voices were ignored. Blacks were used by us to build the southern economy because no whites could be found to do the hard labor in the extreme heat and malaria infested swamps required. Hypocrisy, when it comes to human equality, is in the DNA of this country and can’t be removed. We taught the slaves brutality and they learned it well. Then we segregated them and they do as they learned so we conveniently blame it on them. Racism is a core American flaw. This thread is just another example of it being revealed.
Give me some examples of it. Beyond exploitation.
I see us as a nation in perpetual adolescence. Utterly unable to accept responsibilty for the racist inheritance of our youth and thus, unable to grow into an inclusive adulthood.
Protestant work ethic. Belief in free market capitalism. The nuclear family. Individualism. Economic mobility.
I'm skeptical that these things came about due to people being white, or due to their condition of being white.
Its mostly "obey your boss."
Black culture comes out of their condition. For instance, their music evolves out of their subservient condition.
What can be done?
Your assumption the malaise and cause of socio-economic problems in any community in the US is different because of someone's skin colour...
Oh yeah, and anti-discrimination laws and voting rights laws added to the mess. Btw, the welfare state began under FDR in the 1930s not in the 1960s. And the GI bill (Blacks excluded) in the 1940s created enormous prosperity.Thomas Sowell makes a solid argument that the villain is the progressive welfare state. He has a lot of evidence that blacks were improving by income and education until the great society programs of the 60s, and then it all went downhill from there.
Black America? Wheres that? What can be done?
The problem is people want to make it a race issue, <>
What needs fixing? White America voted for Trump. Start the fixin’ there. What can be done?
Can't we ever have a single thread devoid of Trump Derangement Syndrome? What needs fixing? White America voted for Trump. Start the fixin’ there.
First step to accomplish your objective: tell Trump to stop acting deranged. Can't we ever have a single thread devoid of Trump Derangement Syndrome?
Well, considering most of what we see is from a power-force of corporate media that hates him, I don't really trust anything said about him. I go by what I see. Actions speak louder than words.First step to accomplish your objective: tell Trump to stop acting deranged.
About Trump hate: I repeat the title of a documentary from the late 1960s about militant Black organizations: “The Hate that Hate Produced.” If Trump is hated, one reason is that he has preached hate for decades. Remember the Central Park Five ads — “I want to hate them.”Well, considering most of what we see is from a power-force of corporate media that hates him, I don't really trust anything said about him. Are we not suppose to hate muggers that cause fear in a city?About Trump hate: I repeat the title of a documentary from the late 1960s about militant Black organizations: “The Hate that Hate Produced.” If Trump is hated, one reason is that he has preached hate for decades. His slogan might as well be MAHA, Make America Hate Again. You know the list of people and groups he has directed us to hate or fear, no need for me to spell it out.
What can be done?
We can kill all the White Racists and end the discrimination they consider normal.
