House Dems propose bills to stop online ammo sales,[W 103]

But we know gun laws reduced gun deaths .....that has been proven over and over year in and year out

In some countries they have reduced gun crime while having almost no effect on crime in general. Of course in many cases we see increases in other types of crime. In the US violent crime has steadily decreased as socioeconomic circumstances have improved among other things. Showing no relation to gun laws or restrictions. Like the assault weapons ban which had no effect on gun crime at all, none.

Your argument is flawed at best.

And yet states with lax gun laws have the most gun deaths.....year in and year out over and over again

They already know every weapon you buy from a dealer. The dealer has to have a background check done for every sale. That background check includes the weapon type and serial number. So it is just more bureaucracy and waste.

I don't think that's true. The background check only determines if the purchaser is prohibited from purchasing. Only the dealer keeps records of the purchase.
I also don't think a check must be performed for every sale. The check can include multiple sales.

You honestly think only the dealer keeps the information?

As far as the check goes, even multiple purchases are listed by serial number and gun type. Every gun you buy through a dealer is listed, period.

Are you going to keep pulling a red herring every time I reply?

It is because of gang crime in large cities. How about we address that?

Anyway if you are not going to stick to one topic, we are done here. I am not going to sit here while you make already debunked arguments over and over.

Stick to the subject.

No its not. The highest gun deaths are in places like Alaska, Montana and Louisiana which have very lax gun laws.

The information is ONLY kept at the dealer. It is NOT stored at the ATF

I believe, sir, you are incorrect. State laws vary, but the feds do not keep records on individual purchases.

They are high because they include suicide which is NOT a crime. Again get back on topic or we are done.

Yes and the government never lies to the American people. This is just my opinion so you can take however you wish.

And yet they are still dead. But back to the thread.

So what? Makes your argument no less wrong now does it?

No. My statement still stands. States with lax gun laws have the most gun deaths. That is a simple fact

It's my opinion, it does not change the facts I have stated proving you wrong either.

What fact is that? The dealer keeps the information. Those are the facts

No. My statement still stands. States with lax gun laws have the most gun deaths. That is a simple fact

And you ignore that if you subtract suicide it tells a much different story. If you want to be dishonest about it, I am cool with that.

Why would I ignore suicides? Are they not just as dead?

That was not your string of arguments. That was Jimbo's statement. That is the fact.

that's meaningless since you can define gun laws as ones that criminalize armed robbery or felons in possession. Gun laws that deprive or restrict honest people from merely owning or acquiring firearms do not. Registration, specific types of gun bans, magazine bans, waiting periods and all the other things YOU want DO NOT
