I very rarely if ever find myswlf agreeing with Pelosi. But I will defend her tearing up the speech. It waa her right and was a powerful use of her free speech to convey a message. Kudos for showing her true self and feelings. I don't agree with her opinions but did enjoy seeing a glimpse of honesty from the Speaker.

Nancy Pelosi is the Poster Child for Term limits...

Or, another way of saying it is that she behaved just like Trump, and you think she's awesome for doing it.

She certainly went low-road, it is rather embarrassing. I do not believe that this sort of lowest-common-denominator politics is a good thing.

The whole thing was just a play to gain acceptance from the Democratic Socialists.
Who's controlling who here? I think we'll find out after the election.

From a purely strategic angle, it's not a very persuasive argument to say that X behaves terribly when you behave the same way.

Why not? The more crass Trump is towards anyone he disagrees with the more his base cheers and loves him.

Unless that was the official copy that was to be entered into the congressional revord. If so, she committed a felony.

Same is true of the Democrats and their own people, apparently.

Everyone's on the low road.

I think her shredding the paper was in poor taste but proper protocal was been thrown to the wind a long time ago. The fact that either party claims the high road or thinks there is a double standard is laughable.

She didn't have the microphone to stand in front of Congress and the American people and lie for 80 minutes.

This is true, unfortunately it all seems to be turning into a reality TV show. Though I also think it's not a very persuasive argument when people defend childish behavior and then try to condemn someone else for it.

Agree with the bolded. Not sure what you mean by "double standard." Obviously, lots of people have double standards for their own and for the other side.

Yes, that is implied by what I said.

I know, HumblePi; when your side does it, it's OK, because reasons. Kind of my whole point in this thread.

What goes around comes around. You cannot deny that Trump is a liar of monumental proportions.

So many of you are kindly demonstrating exactly what I said.
