Guns banned at pro gun rally!

My only venture into California was to Lake Tahoe while staying in Reno. I guess they celebrate on plenty of other days. Is this anywhere near Napa? I bet they endorse wine consumption.

Southern California. North of San Diego. This is the second spot where the wine industry first took off in the 1880s. Napa started during the gold rush. The celebration dates back to 1908.

Escondido wine makers endorse wine consumption. They simply can't display their wares at the celebration.

And you went to Yale?

Yeah, and like William F Buckley, Jr. I had a pretty strong GPA. And he stated the exact same thing many years ago.

I don't know anything about that celebration, but last I checked, consuming wine or selling it, is not constitutionally protected.

He said the anti-gun crowd is padded by illegal immigrants and gov. tit suckers? I doubt it.

He said the left is growing due to increasing number of government dependents and those coming into this country without inspection

Which was a lot less specific than what you said.

It was years ago. My best friend in college was the chairman of the school's "Party of the Right"which WFB started and Buckley would come back 1-2 a year and I'd get invited to the dinners.

Well, let me drop a name along with you. Bart Giamatti was my cousin and maybe he didn't do as good a job educating you as he should have.

that's amusing given his name is on my diploma and he was the one who nominated me for a couple big name scholarships. Any truth to the rumor that Pete Rose had him whacked?

No. The family has a history of heart disease. Further, he was a chain smoker.

yeah I know but living in cincinnati, that was the rumor. One of the feds I worked with was the guy who prosecuted Rose and he had heard the same rumor

I have always believed though that the stress of that summer, Pete Rose, did contribute to his early death.

so you claim you own guns but you are gleeful that the anti gun movement seems to be gaining members (mainly through illegal immigrants, and those suckling on the public teats)? proves to me that the anti gun movement is based on politics and has nothing to do with any legitimate desire for public safety.

Gun nuts try to bring weapons and illegal immigrant to gun rally
The FBI arrested three suspected white supremacists on firearms charges on Tuesday, the Justice Department announced Thursday. Brian Lemley, Jr., and William Garfield Bilbrough IV, alleged to be members of "The Base," a racist violent extremist group, were arrested along with a Canadian national, Patrik Jordan Mathews.

According to a federal official, the men were arrested near Baltimore and were believed to be heading toward Richmond, Virginia, where a*pro-gun rally is plannedfor next week. Lemley has been charged with transporting a machine gun and other firearms charges, and he and Bilbrough are charged with transporting and harboring "an alien unlawfully present in the United States." Mathews also faces firearms charges.

Sorry, looks like the violent white wingers were the ones rolling around with an illegal immigrant.

No it won't. You weekend warriors will eat it because you're all talk. The tree of liberty is watered with the urine of faux patriots.

Me thinks you underestimate the American patriot just like all the rest in our history

You need to learn the fundamentals

Yes, and that absurdly anachronistic 'right' results in thousands of needless deaths, mutilation and life changing injuries every year. Aren't you lucky.

Just like car deaths, bicycle accidents , Motorcycle accidents, knives, strokes etc....

See, cars aren't designed to kill and bike accidents are just that; accidents. Guns have ONE purpose only; to put little holes in things-mostly living things-and purposely kill them. So no, not "just like" at all.

So what?

Most of those are suicide

Doesn't make you any less dead if you shoot yourself or someone else does.

Yeah, but you missed the point about the majority are self inflicted which they would just do something else to do themselves in.

If we got rid of guns, we would just have a knife problem just like you

No, you would simply get rid of one method of killing, and one less is better than doing nothing-which is precisely what 'happens' after every predictable atrocity and all the 'thoughts and prayers' crap is done with. I don't know why you automatically assume an increase in knife crime would result. Do you have any data to support your claim; maybe from other countries with gun bans? Oh, and you already have a huge knife crime problem.

Lets demonstrate that right that you call absurd. Come over here with your best men and try to take them from us.
