Greatest QB's of All-Time

Ken Stabler and Jim Plunkett

Where will Mahomes wind up?

Mahomes has to do well for another decade and a half... I am wary of these stellar first couple of year players.

Of course. However, greatness rarely takes long to present.

You're higher than giraffe ***** if you think Drew Brees barely makes the cut when he outpasses literally everyone else on that list.

Did he also "out win" everybody on that list? Didn't think so.

A great quarterback leads his team to championships...

There can be only one.

I think that is far too simple of a conclusion.

Based on that thinking one of the greatest batters in baseball history was not "great" because his team never won a championship during the many years he played.

Talking about this guy:

For my money I put John Elway at the top of the list. Other QBs have come along to have greater stats, but few were ever as exciting as 'the comeback kid'.

The QB position is unique. It is the leadership spot on the team. All the heat...all the glory. And come on...9 Superbowls in 20 years...winning 6 of them.

For the same criteria you gave for Elway...the comeback wins...is readily matched by Brady.

But its all opinion.

But he cheated, that's a fact.

ALL-TIME

1. Joe Montana
2. John Elway
3. Aaron Rogers
4. Peyton Manning
5. Johnny Unitas
6. Tom Brady
7. Steve Young
8. Dan Marino
9. Drew Brees
10. Brett Favre

I have no problem with that list.

Bob Griese was my favorite QB as a kid. He didn't make Bodi's list tho

Billy Kilmer and Sonny Jorgensen; they would bar hop on Saturday night and play Sunday afternoon.......

I would say Tom Brady given that of the 19 Super Bowl victories on this list as starting QB, Brady owns 6 of them.

I suspect before all is said and done Russell Wilson will be on it.

That is like saying Robert Horry is better than Michael Jordan...

Only if you are comparing Robert Horrys and Brady's contribution to their perspective teams.

Warren Moon definitely deserves consideration. From wikipedia:

Moon was in the top five all-time when he retired for passing yards, passing touchdowns, pass attempts, and pass completions

and that was after losing the first six years of his NFL career, and being limited to the teams he could play for, because he was black.

I think it would be better to say "probably should be on it", but playing for a small market NW team is going to make it real difficult. He's just not going to get as much of the league hype. For example, all the experts were so familiar with Wilson and the Seahawks, most thought Denver would win the SB.

Are you suggesting that Tom Brady was carried by the Patriots rather than the other way around? You do realize I would hope that at least a couple of those Super Bowl champion teams Brady played on were the underdogs in the game.

Had he not gone to the CFL out of UW, he would be a lock
