Giuliani says he won't comply with subpoenas from Democrats

Rudy likes due process.

Due process has nothing with a congressional subpoena. If the subpoena is issued appropriately be the House, due process has nothing to do with it, in any way, shape, or form.
So why did you write about "due process"?

Not even executive privilege. Attorney/client privilege kicks in as well.

Congress doesn't have to recognize attorney client privilege, and this most certainly isn't a matter of Rudy giving legal advice to Trump.

So you have nothing.

John Dean was Nixon's lawyer.

There is a crime-fraud exception to attorney client privilege, when allegations that the legal advice was used in furtherance of an illegal or fraudulent activity.

We keep hearing about that kind of stuff for the past few years....

There was a crime at the core of the Johnson, Nixon and Clinton impeachment inquiries.
Nothing like that here.

Congress can go through attorney client privilege.

There should be a statue of John Dean facing the WH with his right hand raised & his middle finger erect. The powerful need to be reminded that they can't get away with s**t indefinitely.

Rudy was violating multiple election financing laws among other crimes. If he advised Mutt and Jeff, who were arrested on Thursday and advised them to leave the country, he was witness tampering.

When he is due to be processed?
The Schiff Show isn't providing due process a fundamental cornerstone of our government. I doubt the SCOTUS will like that. Every other impeachment inquiry has grant due process to the President. The Dems need to remember what goes around comes around. One day there will be a Democrat President and a Republican House and payback will be hell.

Prove it.

The most recent admitee to SCOTUS is an alcoholic sex fiend.

Schiffty has 3 options:

1. Arrest Rudy and find a jail to put him in.

2. Refer this to the DOJ and ask them to take action.

3. File a civil suit in a Federal Court.

None of those options are useful for various reasons.

Oh...wait...I forgot about the 4th option: Pound sand.

His lawyer Jon Sale, recommended that Rudy retain a criminal attorney.

Seems that Rudy is a criminal attorney .........:lamo

Trump - like all accused suspected criminals - will get all his due process when the trial is held and when he becomes officially accused of a crime. That has not yet happened.

There already was a Democratic President who got what came around. His name was Bill Clinton and his great crime was a blow job that he tried to keep secret.

Prove it.

Rudy Giuliani admitted that the two Ukraine/Russian goons that are under arrest had paid him a half million dollars.

The New York Times reported last week that Parnas had told associates he paid Giuliani hundreds of thousands of dollars for what Giuliani said was business and legal advice. Giuliani said for the first time on Monday that the total amount was $500,000.

Parnas and Fruman were arrested at Dulles Airport outside Washington last week on charges they funneled foreign money to unnamed U.S. politicians in a bid to influence U.S.-Ukraine relations in violation of U.S. campaign finance laws. The men were preparing to board a plane to Europe.

Exclusive: Trump lawyer Giuliani was paid $500,000 to consult on indicted associate's firm - Reuters

Congress is doing due process precisely according to the letter of the law. You don't like that? Too damned bad.

Not surprising.
Congress has no teeth without the justice department willing to prosecute for the contempt of Congress. Really not much Congress can do as long as Barr is AG.
However it seems Rudy thinks Trump will be president for life or he's gonna be dead by the time this all works it's way thru court.
The thing is Fiona Hill's lawyers stated it best privilege does not apply if there is corrupt intent.
We'll see if Rudy ends up being the fall guy for everything.
Good luck to him....he was scum as NY mayor and he's still scum. Maybe finally others eyes are being opened and that's a good thing.

What are the main criticisms of him as NY mayor in your opinion?

He said he doesn't need one because he is one, but I think when things heat up, he'll get one fast.

They need to dust off inherent contempt. Likely too cowardly to use their authority in the face of such brazen abuse of executive power and insane unitary executive nonsense from Barr.
I mean, if they use crazy to oppose the nation...why can't the House use its property authority that has been held up by the courts to be appropriate as long as its a proper subpoena?

My guess is if they do Rudy will be the guy it's done for.
That would however open the floodgates.

On yeah? Prove it.
I don’t have to prove it. Rudy is making no such claim of privilege. He’s just refusing to comply.
