George Zimmerman sues Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren over tweets honouring Trayvon Martin

George Zimmerman is a hero to everyone who wishes they could legally murder the person kicking your ass in a fight you started.
As absurd as it is wrong.
Zimmerman did not start it.

Both of them had opportunities to deescalate or disengage, but neither did.
WTF are you talking about?
Zimmerman tried to disengage but Trayvon would not let him.

it was simply a bad shoot and Zimmerman was doing something he shouldn't have been doing.

he should have gotten at least manslaughter.
Wrong as usual.

I don’t understand how a child walking home from the store is considered a moron
What an outlandish spinning of what was actually said.

I don't disagree, and that rightfully reflects on Zimmerman, but they both made mistakes that could have avoided the tragedy.

On the flipside, Martin wasn't exactly acting like a kid when he ambushed Zimmerman. I think the natural instinct with a kid would be to run home and tell their parents, which would also have worked out better.
At 17? No it isnt the natural instincts of a 17 year old, who thinks they are invulnerable even when scared and tend to fight rather than flee to run home. He was 17, not 7. But still a "kid" legally.

Your reply is as wrong as it is absurd nor did Zimmerman start a fight.

The irony is that if Martin had been armed and shot Zimmerman because he felt an imminent threat, he'd be a right-wing hero. But he was Black and responded with fists instead of a gun, so he deserved to die.

Wrong as usual and ignores what is actually known.
Had Trayvon shot Zimmerman and Zimmerman died, Trayvon would have been charged with manslaughter if not murder becasue the guy he shot had already been in touch with the police reporting Trayvon's suspicious activity.

Because he felt an iminent threat. If he had a gun, he could have shot him. You cool with that, but not with his fighting?
Wrong.
The evidence we have is that he wasn't intimidate by Zimmerman.
He showed that by circling his vehicle.

He could have shot Zimmerman as Zimmerman followed him. Zimmerman was armed and as a dead man, we would only know that he persued Martin after being told not to.
Wrong
You again fail to take what is known into account as well as the time sequence.
Besides the previous point of Zimmerman having already called the police on the suspicious person, Zimmerman's body would have been found at the area where Zimmerman had already said the suspicious person had fled. That would mean Trayvon had to come back into the area for him to shoot Zimmerman there.
The responding Officer was just moments away.

Trayvon was old enough to be emancipated so no, not a kid but a young adult.

It is also not natural instincts to be looking into other people's homes and then hiding only to later come out and attack a person from their left rear.

If Treyvon where a White kid and some Black fake cop grown man stalked him and killed him there is no way we get the same result. I guess self-defense is only for White people.

For those of us who see things as they are, the Treyvon case one of the most blatant examples of bias in the criminal justice system.

Moreover, time has proved that Zimmerman is a disturbed individual who continues to get into legal trouble.
Oy vey! Nothing you just said that I quoted is true and you certainly are not one who sees things as they are.

There was no stalking.

There is no evidence he was "looking in other peoples homes" although I will glance into other peoples homes as I pass by them out of curiosity. Many adults do that. Unless you are going to provide evidence he was going into peoples yards and peeking thru their windows, it is normal.

Wrong.
It is why he called the police on the person, becasue he was up on the lawns looking into the windows.

Not according to the transcript posted earlier. It just states he was looking at all the houses, not in their lawns looking in their windows. He said "he's just walking around...looking about...he's just staring at all the houses".

You realize there was more than just the call right? Like a written statement and a video's walk-through.

Had Zimmerman been a law abiding gun owner and stayed in his car as he was asked, Trayvon would be alive today. Instead he's just a hustling loser.
You have been here too long not to know that you are spewing bs.
He was not asked to stay in is car.

A lame reply given the fact that he was not told to remain in his car.

George Zimmerman is a loser. Always was, always will be. A loser who had a gun, and who became a hero to bigots. How many times has he been locked up now? Two, at least.

You clearly don't know enough to even be discussing it.

"In 2013, Zimmerman's estranged wife called 911 to report that Zimmerman had assaulted her father and was threatening her with a gun. Zimmerman wasn't charged over the incident. In November of that same year, Zimmerman was charged with felony aggravated assault after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend during a domestic violence incident. The case was later dropped. In January 2015, Zimmerman was again charged with domestic assault after allegedly throwing a wine bottle at a different girlfriend. Again the charges were later dropped."
People making false allegations only speaks to them, not the person falsely being accused.

It always seemed to me he confronted the guy who was following him in a truck and then on foot, in the dark, and it all went sideways.

Zimmerman's story never did sound plausible.

Had he stayed in his truck, none of this would have happened.

And there has to be a point where one's actions make one at least partially responsible for the events that follow.
Your opinion has long been absurd.
Following to keep a suspicious person under observation is not wrong in any way.

Hiding from that person attempting to keep you under observation and then coming out and attacking them from their left rear as they are going back to their vehicle, clearly is.

Didn't the cops tell that racist wannabe to stay out of it when he called them?
There was no racist wannabe, let alone a wannabe.
And no police told Zimmerman to stay out of it.

Zimmerman is a scumbag, typical cowardly bully, just had to go out there after the black man who was minding his own business. Zimmerman should have been on the receiving end of that bullet, not Martin.
Beside being all-over-the-place wrong, Trayvon was no minding his own business.
He had been observed looking into the homes.

You realize there was more than just the call right? Like a written statement and a video's walk-through.
Who made the statement and walkthrough? And if Zimmer had seen him actually looking into houses rather than just at them, that would be more reason to tell the dispatcher right there.

People tend to "remember" details that give them more justification for their actions after the fact, even things that didnt really happen.

Are you saying that Zimmerman did not attack first? After attacking Trayvon and he began to get beat he then killed Trayvon. Both of those are the FACTS!!! Zimmerman got off because of the most stupid law ever written allowing the attacker to kill someone and then claim self defense. THose are the facts. Trump does the same thing. He first attacks his victom and then fights back and claims he is the citepom and the stupids blieve eveery time. It a real laugh for the rest of us.
Wrong as usual.

No.
The facts are he saw him up on the grass looking into the homes and not trying to get out of the rain.

This is why he called.
Not to make up an excuse after the fact.

That isnt a fact unless it can be verified. It definitely was not verified by his phone call, which pretty much says he was just looking at the houses. Why not make the statement then that he was going onto peoples properties and looking in their houses, when it would in fact get cops out quicker?

Your questions are irrelevant.

Zimmerman called the police on a person he believed was acting suspiciously.
Had he not thought it was suspicious he likely would not have called them.
You do not get to second guess that predicate.
.

The fact is though that Zimmerman has no more legitimate a case here than Tulsi does against Hillary. Libel and slander are extremely hard to prove and have a lot of legal requirements to meet.

What Are Types of Defamation? How Are Libel and Slander Different? | Nolo

First, slander requires the words be spoken, so this would only constitute libel even if he could prove the elements required.

Second, there are defenses against both libel and slander that could easily be met here. For instance, you would have to first be able to show that either tweet was referring specifically to Zimmerman when negative comments were made. Neither mentions Zimmerman. Second, you would have to show that those tweets would negatively change a person's opinion about Zimmerman. Since first, you would have to either know or read up on the Trayvon Martin case to even know what was being tweeted about, then it is not likely that this could be taken as anything that would cause harm to him, due to most people forming their own opinions based on facts of the case, not the tweets. Then you would have to show that it was more than just an opinion. And last, Zimmerman could now be considered a celebrity, so extra conditions apply, such as showing malice.

Yes I do. Everyone does. Suspicious is subjective, particularly to an untrained individual. Zimmerman was not a law enforcement officer.

Wrong.

The only bearing what Zimmerman reported has on this issue is only in relation to the reason he called the police in the first place. There was nothing wrong with doing so.
Regardless of what you think, you do not get to second guess it, as any speculation you have regarding it is irrelevant, especially as the police thought it was sufficient a reason to dispatch an officer to check it out.

It has no bearing on why he later shot Trayvon.
