Game of Thrones season 7. [Spoilers]

The easy rout of the Targaryen navy for one.

What targaryen navy? They had the 2nd rate iron born and the dothraki against the top notch iron born that had superior numbers. Seemed like a pretty obvious rout

Those stunning images at the end of last season and the opener this year made it look very different than the way you present it.

And where did the iron born navy get built so fast and so big and with so many people manning those ships? It seemed to happen in the blink of an eye in TV time?

My predictions...

Tyrion rides a dragon to burn the iron fleet, and succeeds, while Dany goes for kings landing with her other 2 dragons, but one is either horribly wounded/crippled, or killed. Jon Snow and Dany get close....real close, and then, the big reveal, Jon is Raegars son.

predictions :

i agree that they're going to kill one of the dragons, the ****ers. Jon Snow and Daenerys are going to hook up, even though she's his aunt (had to look that one up to be sure.) Jon Snow will turn out to be a dragon.

Agreed - one of those dragons is not long for the world.

sucks. that little crossbow cannon was included in the episode for a reason.

Cersei may be a terrible person but damn she is fun to watch. Lena Headey absolutely kills it. Compared to Emilia Clarke who IMO seems a bit wooden (although I did like her latest scene with Jon where she gave him permission to mine dragonglass).

Well Jon is actually a year older than her which makes it even more weird

The iron born have been pretty much just sitting around and building ships for the past 20 years and licking their wounds from the last rebellion.

I'm wondering who will be left to fight the white walkers and army of the dead.

Armies destroyed:

House Stark
House Tyrell
House Bolton
House Baratheon
House Martel
House Tully
House Greyjoy (Yara)
House Fray (?)

Armies standing:

House Lannister
House Greyjoy (Euron)
House Arynn
Unsullied
Wildlings (Mostly women and children)
Dothraki (I expect to be pretty useless)
Second Sons (not in Westeros)
Nights Watch (Only 100+)
Plus three dragons.

Not encouraging since the remaining armies are still at war. Not only is the army of the dead said to be vast but, based on the last view, includes a number of undead giants as well.

Episode 4 was pretty good.

Finally some ****ing dragon action, that took long enough and it was every bit as brutal and destructive as I had hoped.

I was a bit disappointed how Bronn and Jamie survived what they shouldnt have that isnt something the GOT has really done before. That would have been a great last ride for Jamie.

Also I didnt care for how Arya all of a sudden is the best swordsman in the land, I know she had training when she was young and the assassin training but she has had little in the way of practical battles and she was able to best Brienne so easily seemed a bit much to me.

I thought the 4th episode was to air later tonight

Also, that scene with Cersi and the two girls from Dorn(names are hard) was hard to watch. Such cruelty.

I don't know, she kinda had it coming. And the daughter wasn't innocent in the plot to kill the one innocent lannister girl who was married into the Dorn family. It's one of the few things Cersei's done that I completely understand (The other blowing up the septum). If it were me, I'd regularly collect her tears to accompany my evening wine. I could think of several other things she could do as well.

Of course, if Ned had caught up with Cersei and Jaime after what they did to Brandon, I'd say the same thing. Whatever happened to em, they had it coming.

You didn't hear in the news? Hackers released the episode onto sketchy streaming sites a few days ago. Was all over my facebook.

Yeah. I was kind of hoping that people wouldn't go watch a hacked leak then "review" it here...

I also felt at least one of them should have died there in a glorious dragon fire death. Oh well.

Superb episode, hopefully that's what we'll be getting from now on till the end of the show.
The battle scenes are so well made that they cover for the writing level that went down since season 5, the more "epic battle episodes" we get the happier I am.

I think the "force" is with Arya.
Think of her as a medieval Jedi.

If the dragons are properly utilized, they should be unstoppable. No need for head-on attacks, striking from the flanks and behind the lines would do the trick. Daenerys' is the only army with an air force, so she should win. Downside is the queen has to fly the dragon which can, and did put her in a bad spot.

I actually thought this episode had some pretty good dialog. Jon Snow's advice to Daenerys about "not being more of the same" in regard to devastating civilians was pretty good, but yeah the battle scene was pretty cool.

She was literally trained by the best assassins in the land. Checks out.
