Game of Thrones season 7. [Spoilers]

Some thoughts...

1. I don't think Arya "bested" Brienne. She surprised everyone by "holding her own". At the end, it was Arya who got knocked to the ground by a big boot. It all goes back to her "dance instructor" in the first season.

2. The Lannisters had better start building a bunch of those big crossbows. They are going to need them when THREE dragons show up.

3. Daenerys did a pretty good job with one dragon. Now she has to learn tactics.

A prediction:

Jaime turns on Cersei.

I suspect we will see Jamie turn on Cersei as you suggest, although somewhat reluctantly perhaps motivated by those cave pictures of the White Walkers ... and before its all over turn back again and fall under her spell once more before dying in her arms.

So how much damage was done to the dragon? For a moment it looked possibly fatal as he spun to the ground like a big 747 but then seemed to get it together enough to dispatch Jamie into the water with help from Bronn.

I continue to be amazed at what they can do with a couple of million dollars each week. I have always looked upon Peter Jacksons Middle Earth movies as the standard for heroic fantasy and in thefts couple of seasons these folks are knocking it out of the park. From the Bastard Battle to the Loot Battle, they are now the standard for large scale mayhem on screen. I would love to see this season in IMAX.

The KingSlayer has to be a QueenSlayer at some point.

She was literally trained by the best assassins in the land. Checks out.

Best assassins not swordsmen.

An assassin doesn't go up to a knight and try to fight them one on one straight up.

She spent a lot of time training with that stick, and she did kill the Waif in sword combat.

Jonn true heir to westeros confirmed. Good work Gilly.

Littlefinger just being littlefinger too. Wonder what the scroll said.

It was the scroll that Sansa was forced to send by Cersei after Ned was executed in season 1.

Looks like we have a "mad queen" now, once you get the taste for burning people you can't stop

Excellent knowledge.
I couldn't read the darn thing on my non-HD TV.

I dunno. She gave the two victims an opportunity to "bend the knee"....they refused, so she fried them.
Not the nicest thing to do, but fairly mild considering the multiple atrocities that have been committed in this series.

She hasn't torched too many folks, outside of the actual battles.
If you've got an air force you've gotta use it in battle.

It was an interesting episode (ep 5), though not quite as action packed as Ep. 4. I think the most ingriguing piece of information is essentially learning that Jon Snow is not a bastard at all, but rather Jon Targaryen and rightful ruler of the 7 Kingdoms.

What the heck was Cersei talking about when she told Jaime to "never betray me again"?
Jaime didn't set up the meeting with Tyrion, he was duped by Bronn, right?
Did Cersei feel betrayed because Jaime didn't skewer Tyrion when he had the opportunity?

Yes, that was huge. Jon now has a better claim to the throne than Dany does.

Though, it annoyed me that Sam was too far up his own ass to pay attention.

It's Game of Thrones. If none of the main motivators of the plot had their heads up their ass, the series would have been over like 5 seasons ago.

Setting the stage, anyoen see Little Finger playing games to tear the Stark girls apart. You watch, he'll marry Sansa and have Sansa execute Arya

Mostly I hope that Arya stabs the **** out of Littlefinger. Something like she finds out Littlefinger was betrayed her father that ultimately led to his death and then stabby stabby time.

No way Sansa does that.

LOL HBO are noobs... they released the next episode by accident 6 days before its release... and of course it is all over the net now. They gonna blame hackers for that one as well? Was up for 1 hour, just long enough to rip it .. odd...

They just can't catch a break.

The moment when Jon petted the dragon, we knew. The look on Dany's face told all. Her concern about him leaving was interesting.

I'm finding this season rather slow. Disappointed that there will be a season 8 in two fricken years. I just wanted it to end already.

What? this season has moved so fast compared to other seasons

I think she was considering the meeting, itself, and the "taking his side" (pleading for Cersei to surrender) as a betrayal, or maybe she was referring to when Jamie freed Tyrion.

It seemed clear to me that Cersei was trying to spell out an ultimatum, "him or me," with the "him" choice leading to execution.
