It doesn't take much for me, as a conservative, to condemn white supremacists.

This doesn't appear to be a hate crime, though, so I'm having a hard time reconciling how much of my condemnation in this particular case should be diverted from the fact that another deranged psychopath went into a school and murdered a bunch of innocent kids.

The police didn't say he wasn't a member of a WP group, just that they didn't know of links. Your statement is bull given what we do know.

Ok, fine. I can buy that, for the moment, we don't know what the guy's exact motivation was and no doubt he was off his rocker. Then again, it wasn't obvious that Manson had ordered the murders of Sharon Tate et al. in order to start a race war ( to this day most people seem oblivious to this).

But after reading over this thread, I can't help but wonder that if the kid had recently converted to Islam and trained with a radical Muslim group, how much benefit of a doubt the folks on the right would have. My guess is, their calls for patience and waiting for evidence would disappear immediately. So why are people on the right suddenly so dismissive of terrorism when white supremacy is involved?
