Net zero doesn't mean no greenhouse emission instead it means greenhouse gas emission needs to be compensated with for example diffrent carbon capture technologies. There the reason for such drastic target from Extinsion Rebellions is that deniers and delayers have been able to delay the necissary transition away from fossil fuel for such long time. That the tranisition would have been a lot less drastic and could have happen during a lot more time if the warnings from the scientists havn't been ignored in the 90's. While if you deniers get what you want and the tranisition is delayed even further you will need even more drastic meausers in the future.

That we are now running out of time in avoiding many of the devasting effects of climate change.

Oil companies and other fossil fuel companies are very good at shielding them self from responsibility. So more likely they fund an organization that in turn contract a company and that third company finance Internet trolls. So that the fossil fuel companies can claim that they have no respobility while at the same time benefit from shady tacticts like that. Just like that the fossil fuel companies claimed that they had no responsibility for the forge letters that was sent to congress.

Indeed. Once the greenies agenda turned from being pro Earth to being anti human back in the 80s I tuned out. Its now all about controlling and cashing in on people via decades of greenwashed indoctrinated guilt.

Obviously this is worth an absolute fortune in taxes to the governments promoting it :(

But that turned out to be wrong.

I looked at your link that you provided in Post #28. I didn't see anything about any of the demands mentioned above. On the contrary, I saw these three Proposals (not demands)...

The government must, in their words, "tell the truth" about the scale of the crisis the world now faces.

Secondly, the UK must enact legally binding policies to reduce carbon emissions to net zero by 2025.

The third step is the formation of a Citizens' Assembly to "oversee the changes" that will be needed to achieve this goal.

Sounds like you like to way over-exaggerate...

Bush was president for eight years and Trump have been president for over two years. Also Republicans controlled congress for large part of Obama's presidency. So if it was any evidence agianst manmade global warming you could have linked to scientific reports from those Republican controlled parts of the goverment instead of right wing blogs. That the evidence of manmade global warming is so overwhelming so that even federal agencies under Trump have to acknowledge manmade global warming and it's devasting effects.

BERG's links are accurate and correct. It is very important that the world continues to take up the critical actions on Climate Change. Many of the European countries have stepped up to the plate big time. They are showing that they understand the need better than the US, where the Fossil Fuel industries are investing huge sums into misinformation campaigns.

We are in the EARLY STAGES of the effects of Climate Change. Because, by and large, the effects are irreversible, it is critical that we act now.

US C02 emissions, energy consumtion and also electricity consumption are double that of many other developed countries. So US have not only greater opportunity to reduce there emissions but also to create a stronger economy hrough for example energy efficiency.

US also have great opportunity for renewables energy, with for example sunny deserts for solar power.

In my decades of life, I have seen so many changes in the weather. The primary is natural cycles. Sure, we have caused minor changes, but we still are incapable of putting Mother Nature to shame.
