OK, what point are you trying to make?
That not everyone gets that.

I have no idea if this link is going to work or not since it goes to a FaceBook video of a Detroit PD press conference.
Anyway, Detroit cops pull up and start to arrest some guy who was just standing there doing nothing. The guy's buddy IMMEDIATELY puts his hands straight in the air and then, as the cop start to pay attention to him, he turns and flees but the cops blow him away. What else could this kid have done? He put his hands up. He tried to leave the area. Then the cops shot him because he's black. It's no wonder we have riots.

You believe Lutherf's intentional misrepresentation of events? This is why we cannot trust people who do not bother to do research and come to their own conclusions. They are typically too used to watching biased media sources that confirm their own biases, e.g. CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, or the One America News Network. Instead of doing research on Lutherf's past posts, you immediately assumed that he was providing a true summary of events from some unknown source.Once again a story that is not true. Posted here based on either lies or a lack of fact checking. This is whats wrong with the entire claims of systemic racism, not true, just purely made up and then propagandized by the left wing politicians and the media. It's disgusting they would lie to create racial problems.

I Googled this story and am getting conflicting stories, but there are reports that the suspect fired at the officer before the police shot him. If this is true, it is one of the very few times police should be authorized to use lethal force.
"Mayhem quickly followed in the west-side neighborhood of San Juan near McNichols, with more than 100 protesters gathering in the streets, shouting at police in riot gear, throwing bottles and bricks, and demanding justice for what they believed was another case of police brutality against a Black man."

And again they clearly overreacted to false information. This is what we see in every instance of a white cop, black man shot claim. It's really becoming the little boy who cried wolf. Impossible to pay much attention to the claims these days.
Much of the looting and destruction the first few nights was occurring on the opposite side of the city from the protests. After that, police involvement dropped, and it started occurring in more areas. But that is usually how those crimes occur because the police are otherwise occupied by protesters. It was intentional propaganda to call protesters looters and rioters.
Were there some protesters who joined? Sure, but those people were no longer lawfully protesting under the protection of our constitution. It was clearly intentional that people were being lumped into the same category to turn Fox News audiences against the protests. Based on many of the posts I have seen here, it worked pretty well. I see a lot of people here use the term "protesters" interchangeably when describing people who are looting, committing violent crimes, and vandalizing property. Having watched a few Fox News broadcasts during the past month, I can see why those people are confusing the two groups.
THis was nation wide. Huge crowds in the street , looting burning protesters. All lumped together. Some rioting some not. The protests were the cover and the trigger for violence. Sugar coat it all you want.
WE need a thread featuring the protests / rioting. I'll get going on that. Tons of video.

What is the point of this thread? This has nothing to do with cops killing innocent people. Do you think that all black people should be shot down because some are criminals.
The cop has to wait to get shot at? What if the perp doesn't miss?...lol

:lamoI think it's working out just fine so far.
Bat**** crazy lefties are totally ignoring the facts that have been presented and trying to justify their commitment to the PROPAGANDA that the social media clowns pitched their way.
Please, you wouldn’t give a **** if this was about a dead cop so stuff your faux outrage. It is funny that even with the video, the most you could painfully bring yourself to say is this this “might” have been a justified shooting. So, between you and Phys, the guy only pointed a gun at the general vicinity of officers (because who doesn’t do that a couple time a day) and “that sometimes, police might legitimately discharge their weapons at a person,” though who can really be certain in this case.
That's what I surmise.
I'm not going to watch the video for the simple reason that I'm tired of watching death-by-police videos, but I don't mind taking the word of reliable sources that the suspect did fire shots. I do wonder about whether he pointed his gun in the general vicinity of the officers, but I'm guessing that he did.
The idea was to present a false description of a police shooting to rile folks up. Much like the "hands up, don't shoot" version of the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO - which some still assert was based on "factual news reports".
This has nothing to do with “hands up don’t shoot”. Michael Brown was unarmed. These police in this particular innocent did what we expect police to do and has nothing to do with bad policing. All police shootings are not good police shootings and all police are not good

And, yet, for some reason, you all have made it about all police.
The OP content (except for the link) intentionally did not mention that the "suspect" (shot and killed by police) was armed, much less that he shot at a police officer. I suggest that you read the OP content more carefully.
You made it about all police. We made it about bad police
