Democrats in tough Senate races around the country are throwing their party under the bus as the seek to pull out victories in red states won just two years ago by President Trump.

In Missouri, Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) has a radio ad declaring she's "not one of those crazy Democrats." She's in a razor-tight race against Josh Hawley, the state's attorney general.

In Montana, Sen. Jon Tester (D), whose race against Republican Matt Rosendale has tightened considerably, told The Hill that Democrats "botched" the debate over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. He also criticized Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D) use of DNA results to claim Native American heritage, saying it doesn't "pass the test."

In Tennessee and Arizona, former Gov. Phil Bredesen (D) and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) are telling voters that they will not back Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (N.Y.) for Senate Democratic Leader. Trump won both of those states in 2016, too.

I'm not sure if the constituents in Missouri are going to buy into Claire's sudden change of heart when her voting record shows otherwise. Tuesday is going to be one interesting showdown across the country.
I did early voting last week and will on a trip to Denver on Tuesday so will tune in that evening to see how it all shakes out. I really have no idea which party will dominate the election, but I get the sense the Blue Wave may not be what the Democrats hoped for.

These candidates are correct. It almost seems like the Dems are intent on losing the midterms. Kavanaugh, Injun' Liz, the caravan. And now Hillary and Waters running their mouths. All losers. You don't bring up your losers just before an election.

I'd like to add that Bredesen, who is running to replace POS Corker in TN, shot himself in the foot bigly.
He run on "I can work with Trump and support part of his agenda, but I wouldn't shy away from opposing him on things I don't agree with."
In other words, "I'm the one who can reach across the aisle."

During the Kavanaugh debacle, he stayed mum. After Kavanaugh was confirmed, he announced he would have voted for him.
The democrat voter response was immediate and intense ... support for him dropped bigly.


Reminds me of what Trump said last night about McCaskill ... something like "I didn't know she liked me (grin), but I can assure you she would never vote with Republicans."

Kennedy needed his vote on something, and the other guy said sure thing, but you know I have to distance myself and probably cuss you in speeches.

I'm not necessarily meaning Hillary fielded the worst campaign in history on her own. DNC certainly had a hand.

Regarding learning, a couple weeks ago on this forum I asked what the new platform was. The answer? Minimum wage raise. DACA and other pro illegal issues. All the talking points from the '16 campaign.
