Regardless of how one feels about John McCain, the man, the long time senator who reached across the aisle to Democrats, a decorated war hero, a beloved father and husband, friend of many, I knew his hands were dirty when it came to the dossier and he lied about being involved in releasing an UNVERIFIED dossier to the media.

IMO, Trump's remarks about McCain not being a hero fueled McCain's vindictiveness. What a petty, false equivalency on McCain's part to give an unverified dossier about a sitting president to the media. Was he consumed with sour grapes or what?

Total garbage. The dossier should have been revealed because of the issues it raised regardless how one feels about Trump. And stop calling it unverified. It was one of the first if not the first indication that there was Russian interference in the 2016 election which R's flatly denied until it smacked them directly in the ass. More of McCain's honesty could be used in the ultra-corrupt GOP these days. Fat chance of that, though.

That is a likely avenue to remove Trump from office but it would require participation of Republican leaders of Congress as it did with Nixon in August of 1974.

Hang a picture of Trump in your living room, and put a copy of “The Art of the Deal” on your coffee table, because that is what you are dedicated to. Manafort and Stone are quintessential swamp creatures, not McCain. Have you no patriotism? Do you care about the rule of law? All you seem to care about is some narrow right wing agenda—not the ideals of our great nation!

He could have easily addressed his concerns as an adult. He choose not to.

And as McCain is dead there was no reason to even reference McCain except pettiness and emotional immaturity.

Well, right if your goal is to undo the results of the election based upon Russian fabrications bought and paid for by the hillary campaign. To so to speak, "collude" with Russia to destroy the democratic process of electing our politicians. The same reason I think it was the wrong thing to do.

One comment to the mishmash above.
The dossier was unverified, uncorroborated at the time it was released to the media by McCain's intermediary, David Kramer.
There's a thread on this. THIS ONE... Read it from the beginning, and be sure to read Kramer's unsealed deposition that proves McCain lied when he said the dossier suddenly
appeared on his desk.

If there was no collusion then Trump had/has nothing to fear, and no election result will be undone.
The way to deal with serious allegations is to bring them into the light.

Your argument is weak and illogical. You think the FBI doesn’t consider the source of information? That is standard investigative procedure. It simply would not happen—especially considering the implications of investigating the President of the United States!

The fact is, the dossier attracted the attention of law enforcement—the possibility of the existence of Russian kompromat, coupled with Trump’s weird rhetoric and bizarre behavior toward the Russians, raised the specter that the President of the United States was being extorted by the Russian government. This possibility required the FBI to open the counterintelligence investigation.
