'Corruption' of the earliest New Testament texts by the orthodox Church.

What does Jewish history say ?

Of course since the Jews didn't believe that God impregnated Mary, that would make him legitimate in their eyes.

Jewish history says very little. The one mention in the Talmud seems to be more of a reaction against the accusations of the Christians about the alleged trial of Jesus inthe Gospels more than anything else.

But, Jewish law has the paternal line go through the biological father. If Jesus was not the biological son of Joseph, he would be eliminated from the house of David.

Jesus was not the biological son of Joseph only in the mind of Christians, not Jews.

So the Jewish tradition has lost who king David'd's descendants were through time ?

When it comes to the Jews, there is no religious writings about Jesus at all, and the one writing that might be of jesus does not mention his lineage.

And, Jewish tradition has lost who is King David's descendants through time, although in the 1st and second centuries, there were a number of people who were known to be his descendants. Jesus was not one of them.

How far does the list go of King David's descendants ?

oes what list does survive match at all the genealogy listed in the Gospel of Matthew ?

The crowds of Jesus' day most definitely recognized him as the Son of David...the Heir of the Kingdom covenant that was to be fulfilled by someone in David’s lineage...Matthew 12:23; 21:9...and yes, they were mostly Jews...

As far as I know, none of it matches the list in the GOM.

It is your belief then that the words you read in the Gospel of Matthew are reporting actual, historical events? Why then aren't these "crowds" mentioned in non-Christian writings from the period - 25 to 30 CE?
