College Football 2019

That was no blowout. Heckuva game.

If Bama wasn't trailing 33-13 at halftime, they coulda won 28-13 in the second half.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

LSU has a bunch of cupcakes left until the SEC Championship.

Either Georgia or Florida will be the likely team from the East.

He'll like the money elsewhere better I'm sure. And if Michigan loses two or three more games this year... Harbaugh could be sent packing.

I don't follow college football much but I did watch that game, a d I thought the announcers said that Minnesotas coach just signed a seven year contract.

I may heard wrong though...

Buckeyes
LSU
Clemson
Ga, if they win tonight
Minnesota? top 10 for sure, right?

Could be. I didn't know that if so. Although contracts can be bought out with enough cash I think. I hope they keep him though. I like to see non-preeminent teams rise up and establish themselves.

Giant slayer Appalachian State just took down South Carolina. This Sunbelt Conference team this year has defeated an SEC team (South Carolina) and an ACC team (North Carolina).

Bama won't even drop. If they do, it will be from 3 to 4. Watch. LSU will jump OSU for winning a game against a #3 team.

#1 LSU
#2 Buckeyes
#3 Clemson
#4 Alabama
#5 Georgia
#6 Oregon
#7 Utah
#8 Oklahoma
#9 Penn St.
#10 Baylor

You might be right. Other than Minnesota, no one else played anyone tough. And MN isn't going from 16 to 4.

I do believe this week LSU will jump into #!. Ohio State #2 but Bama that was in #3 with a loss will drop but it will be ahead of all in the top 10 who have one loss.
My guess is right now is Clemson will be #3. Bama will be #4 and Georgia Bulldogs will take #5 because Penn State lost to the Golden Gophers.

I see the Gophers jumping to the top ten. Penn state drops out. Bucks should still stay ahead of LSU, but they may not because no one cares that they scored 73 points against Maryland.

Put undefeated Minnesota in the conversation after their win over Penn State.

A good weekend of football just passed.
Redskins did not play, so therefore did not lose.

In college:
Minnesota won, announcing themselves as a rising power.
Illinois became bowl eligible.
Indiana was ranked.
Alabama lost.

And finally:
Dallas Cowboys lost.

As I said, a good weekend.

I have family birthday obligations today and will miss out on a big day of college football. I won't get to see my fav Valdosta State (DII) playing on ESPN 3 today. UGA plays Auburn. Would like to see Alabama get upset by Miss St if possible. And I would've liked to watch #23 Navy vs #16 Notre Dame.

I'm starting to think that if Minnesota wins out, IMO they should supplant Clemson in the top 4 just due to how damn soft Clemson's schedule is this year. They didn't necessarily schedule it soft intentionally... the ACC just completely flopped out this year. Super weak. Clemson played one ranked opponent all season in SEC team Texas A&M and that's it. T A&M was #12 when they played but they aren't even ranked anymore. If Minnesota wins out they will have defeated 3 ranked opponents in Penn St, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Not including the Big 10 championship game which will be another ranked opponent.

Tua's injury looks serious

Tua Tagovailoa injury similar to Bo Jackson injury. Hip subluxation/dislocation puts femoral head at risk of loosing blood supply and dying. Need to get hip back in place gently ASAP and remove pressure from joint.

Gosh it looked bad, sure hope it is more like what they call a stinger and not real serious.

Tua Tagovailoa suffers potentially career-threatening injury

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a significant hip injury Saturday that could affect his football career.

...His hip was flexed and adducted with reports of him screaming in pain while being taken off the field. Trainers lifted him off the ground and onto a cart, as he was unable to move. The hip remained in a fixed position, and the right thigh had the appearance of being noticeably shorter than the left due to the hip being dislocated outward.

...

This injury has potentially more long-lasting consequences even if it doesn’t require surgery.

Gosh so sorry to learn this.

It's horrible.

The report of Tagovailoa’s injury indicates his femur was displaced and smashed through the back of socket, Smith said, speaking as an expert who had not evaluated the quarterback. That level of trauma could damage the arteries surrounding the joint and cause tissue in the femur to die off, necessitating a hip replacement.

It’s a common injury in car crashes, she said, when a motorist’s knee slides forward and lodges against the dashboard, and the force of the collision shoves the femur back through the hip’s socket.

Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa reportedly suffers ‘very serious’ hip injury

It reminds me of what happened to that Florida quarterback last year. Sad.
