This black police chief obviously has been seeing racism against blacks for a long time and now that she has the position of police chief she wants to go after white racists. I can understand where she is coming from. Blacks have been oppressed by whites and blacks for decades and now that actual crimes of racism have diminished in number and severity there is still the ingrained stigma of past abuse which drives many blacks to still see racism as a problem even when it is not. I am reminded of Martin Lawrence's racist mindset in the movie "National Security." Martin played a black man who saw racism everywhere, including in most places where racism did not exist.

I think God sees the rejection of Jesus as something that requires a love of sin more than a love of God and He calls that "hating God."

Generally speaking, Jesus said you cannot serve God and mammon. You will either love mammon and hate God or you will love God and hate mammon. The interpretation we should gather from that is that humans either love God and hate sin or they love sin and hate God. There is no middle ground.
