Homosexuals no more share a single Diety than heterosexuals do. There are homosexuals of pretty much every religion as well as atheist and agnostic.

I also didn't say anything about true or false deity. Neither did mention who I believe to be God. But you did mention others to believe the good I believe in to be false. Who is the god that others believe to be false that you assume is mine?

The fact that you called marriage a "Holy Union" indicates you view it as a religious institution, which in turns indicates you believe in some sort of Diety. Since there are multiple religions that claim any Diety other than theirs is false, that means there are other religions that claim that your Diety is false. Note I did not claim that yours was or was not false. I simply noted that should you attempt that particular argument, you would in effect be the pot calling the kettle black.

To many homosexuality is wrong in accordance with their belief system. To those that don’t share that same belief system...it isn’t.

To me, life isn’t all that complicated. There is the moral aspect of belief...sure. There is also the basic understanding of human biology. Tab a fits in socket a. You can put tab a in socket b, but the results are radically different. One is ‘right’, the other is ‘wrong’. One brings about life, the other is proven to cause death or at least the lack of life. Which isn’t to say two adults shouldn’t be able to do what they believe to be right.

Thanks. Well I cant speak for any black persons but I find that attitude dismissive and disrespectful of gay people and their very real suffering and past (& current) discrimination in our society.

Here's a couple of the quotes from the Bible that they used. It was definitely an angle they used to prevent interracial marriage:

I dont recall seeing a 'thou shalt not wed people of other races' scripture...certainly not in the New Testament. But Im not a great scriptorian...
