I have said it since the Dems won the House. Trump and now totally slimmed up with Trump sewage Barr are boxed here:
1) Mueller not exonerating Trump on Obstruction means that he is leaving the question of possible criminality with regard to Obstruction to the Congress. See Nixon and the tapes. There is no justification for Executive Privilege when questions of potential criminality exist. That question might have to be answered in the SC but the precedent was established in the Nixon case. Trump will lose in the SC and House Judiciary will get the Mueller report without redaction for Executive Privilege
2) House Intelligence gets to see all Intelligence/Counter-Intelligence material classified or not. So House Intelligence will get everything including Intelligence/Counter'Intelligence material and won't even have to go to Court to get it.

Trump and now Barr were boxed the instant the Dems took the House by a prosecutorial effort gathering data and a House that was now ready to do its job. The longer Trump and Barr try to beat around the bush, the more polls will swing toward a very strong, public requirement that the House get everything. Trump will be left having to gamble that he can talk his way out of the actual material in the full Mueller report. Dancing around it and trying to hide it won't work. Trump will be so damaged by 2020, he will not win reelection. Given all the other garbage Trump is trying to pull with Healthcare for example the only people voting for him at that point will be the ghoulish base. Any of the Southern border states going to go for Trump?...Heck at this rate he might not even be able to win Texas.

While Barr has danced he keeps stepping on his own toes....how Trumpian of him. By the time both are done, if pieces of the Mueller part are left out or redacted, Trump will not be able to stand the political pressure.

Which was a political mistake on Barr's part IMO. If you have to release a statement in an effort at clean up in Aisle 9 you should have done a better job with the original letter as in DON'T DO IT. Don't do what Fat Donald wanted Barr to do regardless of how much Fat Donald might have wanted him to do it.

The effort at a mitigating second letter just points out that you know you frigged up in the first letter. Worse, you frigged up in a way that can likely be proven over time and for which there is no recovery. Another example of Donald sewage striking another Donald proponent and likely leaving him with an infamous legacy for his trouble. How to totally destroy a decades long career in about 4 months. Nicely done Bill. Nicely done.
