No, what I said is not false, as the best you would be able to claim would be that there wasnt enough evidence to prove collusion. The statement AG Barr made was pretty straightforward.....the evidence that was collected neither incriminated or exonerated the President. That means he wasnt completely vindicated, and if you think is does, the problem would be your not knowing what those words actually mean.

For what its worth, I have always been a proponent of hoping the report actually fully cleared him so that if he manages to get smoked in the next election, nobody would be able to claim it was the report that did him in. It would be an outright rejection of him and all he stands for. Im not gonna get that, but Im not making much about Barrs statement either, as without the report being available for review, all we have is the interpretation of an employee of the person being investigated. One could hardly call that unbiased, since last year Barr made it quite clear that basically no matter what the report said, he wasnt going to do anything about it while the President was in office. What IS telling, though, is that given his stance on that, if the report HAD completely cleared the President, its pretty safe to assume they would be spiking the proverbial football right this second, and they arent. Since we know its not even close to out of character for the President to be prideful and self aggrandizing, his lack of making outlandish claims is kinda different. Makes you wonder if Barrs comments may have been a stretch of whats actually in the report nobody is going to get to see, doesnt it?

Doubt it. Based on what logic...That he is the AG? That does not wash AT ALL.

That said, its likely to backfire on Barr. He has just about assured that the Obstruction issue will be run to ground in the Congress. Transparently cherry picking incomplete portions of sentences from Mueller is not going to stand Barr in good stead. It is becoming immediately clear that Barr is going to slow roll the full report and likely even pieces of it that would contest his legal opinion on Obstruction which is all he actually has. His letter represents nothing more than a legal opinion laced with partisanship. Another guy caught up in TrumpWorld that will end up stained and infamous.

We will have to understand Mueller's actual logic in not coming down on one side or the other of Obstruction:
1) the idea that the Comey firing is the only potential Obstruction is ludicrous on the surface.
2) the idea that whatever issues Trump had with Comey were restricted specifically to Russia Election interference is equally ludicrous. We don't have evidence of that.
3) the one real complaint one could have will Mueller might stem from not pushing for the Trump Interview. If Mueller is claiming he could not make a call on Obstruction because he could not determine Trump's State of Mind then given his mandate, he should have pushed for the Interview all the way to the SC if need be and all the way to forcing Trump to take the 5th if he chose. Was that in fact the logic path Mueller took? We don't know and won't know until we see the full report.

There is no reason to suggest at this moment that Mueller tossed the ball to Barr to make a 48 hour decision on 22 months of investigation. Again...ludicrous.

There is reason to suspect that Mueller is passing the ball to Congress which based on 22 months of investigation is still a shame if not an outrage and a tragedy.

Further, the counter-intelligence portion of the FBI/Mueller probe needs review by Congress as it relates to the actual track to Russian Election Interference.
