Right. The world is in economic trouble, the whole economic model is. I would rather hope it's possible to turn it around, but I don't. I don't really see any way the US can turn it around, I don't really see a way European countries can either.
Fiscal mismanagement is the reason for the issues, alongside the doomed economic model. It couldn't have gone any other way actually. Inside the doomed economic model, we could have kept it going much longer, if not for the fiscal mismanagement. Pension is the main killer though, it might be what eventually brings down the whole thing. The whole thing is mathematically impossible. Social costs are high, but it's not the main "problem". and the US is also a socialist state frankly speaking. It has alot of welfare systems.
No, the US is still mostly a Free Market Economy rich enough to provide some welfare safety nets for those who honestly cant work. The problem is there are also a lot of people who wont work unless they absolutely have to.
The Left has done everything they can to expand the welfare state as a way to bankrupt the Free Market and install their own Ideology.
With Trump creating so many jobs and Contracting the Administrative State they are taking a huge step backwards. That is why they are going so crazy.
