2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

I somehow see Kentucky as a much weaker challenge to Duke than MSU. Remember, Kentucky lost to Duke by freaking 34 points! This same Kentucky you place ahead of Tennessee lost to them twice (although they beat them once). Tennessee in its turn lost to Auburn twice and to LSU. Oh well, it is true that MSU lost to Indiana and Illinois, but they have Nick Ward back, now, and are being called a potential Final 4 team. They have a great coach, great defense, they are great at rebounding, and Winston is great at closing plays. They also have a lot of experience. Remember, they went to the championship game last year. Not to forget, they have depth, with a great bench.

Duke on the other hand only lost two games without Zion, one of them, while missing two other essential players. The one game they played complete and lost was to Gonzaga. I watched that game. Duke had like 3 opportunities to win that game in the last minute and the ball would just circle the rim and drop out. Duke should have won that game. But it happens. They lost to another #1 seed.

So, the overall #1 seed should have had the weakest #2. Do you really think that MSU is the weakest #2? From Duke's standpoint, better the devil known (KU; they beat them 118-84) than the devil unknown.

I gotta tell ya, I like all the SEC teams. LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky and look at Auburn, a yop 10 team in December, went through a rough stretch but has came back big time.

Honest, I said it before, The ACC and SEc, this year are the conferences and Michigan getting a 2 seed is ridiculous. IMHO.

I am not big on Gonzaga.

Yes, in my two brackets that I got at work (we're allowed to enter two), Gonzaga is not a final 4 team in either one.
Sure, ACC and SEC are the big ones this year, but I still fear MSU. We'll see, I hope I'm wrong and you are right, because I'm a Duke fan.
 
My Final Four: Gonzaga, North Carolina, Michigan State, Virginia
Final Two: Gonzaga, Virginia
National Champion: Virginia

Duke missed some shots that they usually make and Gonzaga missed 5 free throws in the last two minutes (with one being the front end of the one and one), despite being a top 15 FT% team out of all 350+ teams. If they both make the shots they normally make, Gonzaga still wins that game. It's only if you arbitrarily give Duke those Barrett layup misses that Duke should have won the game.
 
Man, I wish I had tuned in to some of that Auburn New Mexico State Round 1 game!

I see the game came down to this:

With the Aggies trailing by two points, A.J. Harris had an open layup he passed up in order to fling the ball to Terrell Brown behind the 3-point line. Brown was fouled with 1.7 seconds left, but he made only one of three free throws.

Sometimes I wonder why luck falls in favor of Auburn! Back in the Auburn Football Terry Bowden era, I remember a couple of pull a rabbit outta your arse wins over my beloved Gators!

I watched Auburn's run through this year's SEC Tournament. They trounced LSU in the final. Jared Harper leads Auburn. The team lives and dies on rampant 3 point shooting.

I'll bet NM gets a copy of the last 1 min or so of that game, burns it and tells every citizen in NM to never, ever watch that last minute.

They had 3-4 chances to win and/or tie the game, but they lost. Auburn tried like hell to give NM the game on a platter, but NM refused to take their gift.
 
Can't wait to see Ja Morant of Murray St in a Suns uniform next year.

OK, good point. Like I said, it's no shame to lose to another #1 seed, earlier in the season.

Yes, unbelievable, Auburn should have lost.
And Michigan State didn't appear that impressive either. They pulled ahead at the end but Bradley gave them a run for their money (the best game so far).

Pitino sealed the game for Minnesota down the stretch with shockingly bad coaching decisions. WTF was he thinking?
