2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

Nope, that's how bad he was. He was Minnesota's MVP down the stretch.

Honest, I was shocked.

I'm not sure you're following. Richard Pitino, son of former Louisville coach Rick Pitino, is the coach of Minnesota.

Duke missed some shots that they usually make and Gonzaga missed 5 free throws in the last two minutes (with one being the front end of the one and one), despite being a top 15 FT% team out of all 350+ teams. If they both make the shots they normally make, Gonzaga still wins that game. It's only if you arbitrarily give Duke those Barrett layup misses that Duke should have won the game.

Duke is a team of freshman and this was in December.

They lost fair and square.

or

Gonzaga won fair and square.

Duke is still more about potential than attained greatness. They could lose again if the meet Gonzaga.

They should be the better team however.

IMHO ;)

So you are saying he threw the game? I believe it.

On a serious note, and I am not sure how, I missed it. I had no clue father was coaching against son.

I was intrigued with last night's NYC guys coaching against each other, Mullins and Hurley.

I got to give the Auburn coach credit. I just saw an interview with him after the game. He flat out said 'sometimes it is better to be lucky than good'.. Even he knew Auburn was damn lucky..

For a second I almost half believed Virginia was going to do it again. But they seem to have righted the ship.

My remote control heated up through out Round 1 with all the channel surfing.... CBS, TruTv, TNT AND TBS.

13 seed UC Irvine and 12 seed Murray State win my 1st Round Cinderella Awards!

Now, on to Round 2. More March Madness. Dance Baby Dance! Win or go Home!

Anybody predicting any upsets today?

I'll be rooting hard for Wofford over UK, but that's a big ask.

LSU did just enough to get past Maryland.... 69 - 67! Nail biter finish!

Say "Hello" to the Sweet Sixteen! Congratulations to all of the LSU Tiger fans!

Yeah, a Real Big Ask, IMO Jack. I just boned up on Wofford. 21 wins in a row, including 84 - 68 over Seton Hall in Round 1! Only 4 losses in the regular season.. 3 of them by 11 points each, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Mississippi State. Kansas blew them out by 25.

Wofford beat South Carolina by 20.

Wofford comes in with serious momentum! We can't count 'em out!

I still give the nod to Kentucky.

The Kentucky v. Wofford game was a PERFECT example of 'live by the 3, die by the 3'..

The best 3 point shooter(MaGee) in the country was 0-12 on 3's.

That's the game right there.

Yup. Can't blame 'em though. The 3 was their only chance.

Even in losing, Wofford put out a grand effort! Wow! They came to play! No more "Wofford who?"

I'd even admit that in front of my Kentucky-born wife!

Ah. I grew up in Indiana and (following Bob Knight) always referred to UK as "Cheater U." John Feinstein reported that before taking the floor for a game against UK, Knight told his Hoosiers: "Gentlemen, tonight you will face the highest paid players you will see all year." I have mellowed in my old age.
