2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

I apologize for that post. Irritation got the better of me.
Point to be made is that UVA won by running a play few teams could emulate.

Thank you Jack. It is okay for us to disagree. Enjoy the Final Four!

The gods of college basketball are cruel but not without a sense of humor, and they respect karma.
Texas Tech coach Chris Beard is a Bob Knight disciple facing Jud Heathcote's Michigan State successor Tom Izzo. That game should be a rock fight.
Auburn is the inspirational story as far as the players go, overcoming injury loss to prevail over Kentucky. But the NCAA really tried to run Bruce Pearl out of coaching a while back, and now he's in the Final Four.
Last year UVA was the first 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed. This year they're in the Final Four. How will Duke feel if UVA wins it all?

Bruce Pearl shouldn't have a job. As a coach, he creates a hostile work environment for the staff and players.

Yes, that's why I said, they should have given the ball to him. Last three possessions, and they don't give the ball to the best college player of the entire season, the clutch guy who makes the impossible points at the end, to win. Crazy. Maybe Coach K is also to blame, for this. Why didn't he say in those timeouts, "feed Zion! Don't forget, feed Zion!"

The article is a bit harsh on Cam Reddish. He was coming out of injury. Not having Cam at his best was another huge issue, we didn't make enough 3s, we didn't have a third option to keep the defense honest about Williamson and Barrett.

I said before the game, we'll need Cam to be healthy, we need him, we need to be at full strength to beat the Spartans. We weren't; then, we didn't.

Another thing I said before: this is a close game, with a huge number of factors in play, when you get to the Elite 8. So, I do think Duke deservedly earned the overall #1 seed, but the best team not always wins it all. Actually, the overall #1 doesn't even predominantly win it all, over the years.

So, a small detail here and there - an essential player suffering a knee injury, the most essential one getting two early fouls... and the season is lost. Sad.

Good to see State beat Duke and KY lose to Auburn. Shame about Purdue and the Zags though.

Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC

Looks like Cal went ahead and signed that extension with Kentucky.

These teams are so equally matched that I don't think the talking heads on sport talk shows have any more insight than any of us.

These next three games are going to be nail biters.

Virginia (#1) +150
Michigan State (#2) +185
Texas Tech (#3) +425

This is a VERY wide open final 4. Any 1 of these teams could win it and I wouldn't be a bit surprised.

I apologize for giving the 3:09 and 5:49 times as EST.

Usually if not indicated national events are listed as EST.

No worries mate. Until I went back and checked, I thought I posted those earlier times. All Grins!

3 ties, 7 or 8 lead changes... 31 - 28. Auburn up at the half. Good game so far!

The madness continued! Congratulations Virginia fans!

63 - 62!

Don't even begin with the 'what ifs'. I wanted Auburn to win.

I thought I was losing my mind on that double dribble.

The refs did not call it and the announces never spoke to it.

I was like, WTF, have the rules of basketball changed? No joke, I could not understand how something so obvious went unnoticed.

What clutch free throw shooting, unbelievable.

Very good game and although I am an ACC guy, Auburn got cheated on that double dribble.

I suspect 9 people out of 10 would not have thought that was a double dribble.
Don't bet against UVA in the last five seconds.
Kyle Guy was channeling Jimmy Chitwood.

Here's a tweet that shows the double dribble. I agree that it would have been hard to call in real time. However, what the refs also missed was the foul right before the double dribble.
