I don't understand the conservative need to seek out confrontation, while claiming they are non-aggressive, and then later act like the victim when people tell them they shouldn't do that.

Get the details right--fascist authoritarian socialists. Given the authoritarian and socialist, I can see your confusion. The difference is that they want to rule by regulations rather than collectivize. More properly in Antifa's case, they are the action group attached to the authoritarian socialists.

It's kind of like in that scene from Saving Private Ryan, where the captured German soldier earlier in the movie is released, returns in the village when the squad is fighting a German Panzer, and that soldier finds the American upstairs and begins to fight hand to hand....The German gets the better of the American and while on top of him they are pleading with each other, as the German forces the bayonet ever closer to the American's heart while telling him, 'shhh, shhhh, it's ok, it's ok, shhh....And kills him...That's what metaphorically what the progressive left want's to do with their political opposition today....
