No. In the future world you envision, would you require people to get approval before travelling anywhere in the US?
I don't understand why Antifa is allowed to control downtown Portland.
It's apparent the city leaders don't want any outsiders to visit there.
According to one report I saw on TV, the Nazis were walking around with shirts saying "Not today Antifa." They weren't there to keep the peace.
Grow up. The "Nazis" weren't at Berkeley when Antifa was attacking people and vandalizing buildings.
Tell me these guys came for peace.

Another MAGA for peace?

No. But walking down the streets wearing armor says what your intentions are.
Actually the name means the opposite of what you are implying...
From ABC News:
...as the day progressed, tensions seemed to be mounting. At around 4:30 p.m. local time, and the Portland Police tweeted, that "Police are having plastic water bottles thrown at them as they are making an arrest on SW Yamhill and Park." After that, police began advising people to clear the streets or face arrest.
"Police are advising this is now a civil disturbance. Crowd needs to leave the area and go Northbound on Park or any direction eastbound. This means everyone," Portland Police tweeted.
The city has been bracing for several militant right-wing groups to arrive in the city, along with scores of counter-protesters.
Enrique Tarrio, national head of the Proud Boys, who describe themselves as an all-male "western chauvinist" group, and former InfoWars personality Joe Biggs, organized the “End Domestic Terrorism” rally on Saturday that started at 11 a.m. local time. Initially, the crowds moved in slowly, and were met by a heavy police presence, in which local police were bolstered by more than a dozen other law enforcement agencies. 4 arrested, 1 injured at Portland right wing rally: Police - ABC News
This is all so juvenile. And West Side Story-ish. And dangerous.
They can't help that they're larger people. Does that mean you'd ban them from public speaking, or appearing at rallies. Simply because of their physical characteristics?
Though I do feel sorry for anyone that just comes up and attacks them without provocation.
What you are comfortable with goes beyond acceptable civil disobedience. There is nothing "civil" about the disobedience you are advocating.Morals? Is civil obedience a moral thing to you?
Damn. Do all libertarians think that? Tell you what I think about that- a man of good morals will defy government, defy authority, whenever he sees it overstepping it's bounds or sees that somebody's rights and freedom is being crowded. And if somebody else is inconvenienced, well, too bad. That's the price of freedom. Sometimes it's inconvenient.
'Course, in a strong fascist or communist state social order comes first. Civil obedience is paramount and maybe you can protest but get permission first. That how libertarians see society?
I think that if your intent is to get into fights, cause vandalism, or in general put at risk the general welfare of the public, that you should stay at home regardless of what side you are on.
Jay59 is pushing the Hitler was a Leftist windyfoggery. (HWAL)
This is well funded historical revisionism and it's bigger than the chemtrail/flat Earth/anti-vaxxer CT bunch combined.
no it doesn't.
so show me where they are inviting a fight or violence by walking down the street?
in peaceful marching?
I don't blame them antifa is known for throwing things at people.
they would rather it hit armor than themselves.
Armor is defensive, not offensive. Did you not know that?
Well, at least they're not hiding on top of buildings over looking the protest with a cache of weapons like the Patriot Prayer did.
Antifa are the fascists. The name is ironic that way.
You're acting as though your own delusions should have a say here then?
The proud boys are not a woman hating, jew hating, or a white nationalist organization.
That is because you inhale the smoke not the cigarette.

Agreed.
And I'm not sure what the end game is for Portland by allowing Antifa to control their streets.
I am a proud bow actually, as of 2017.
Right wing holds rally
Left wing shows up and starts a bunch of violence
News headline: VIOLENCE ERUPTS AT RIGHT WING RALLY TONIGHT!!!
I wonder who the uninformed sheep will blame for the violence.
In general I do not promote violence as a solution. However, these folks on the right are looking for violence. They are full of hatred. Knowing a bit about history, these people are like hitler, they hate. So to just let them walk around spreading their hateful rhetoric and do nothing, that's what led to hitler trying to exterminate the jews. So I'm happy to see people stand up to the hate mongers and let them know they are not welcome in america.
It's the proud boys fault they were asking for a fight, just like it is a womens fault for rape because she was asking for it with a dress too sexy, or it was a black mans fault he got beatup because he was too black in a white neighborhood so he asked for it.
Don't adapt the mindset of the proud boys. Those animals are thugs.
