Lakers dynasty is set!

He better hurry...

The announcement is coming soon! He didn't want to embarrass Toronto on 4th of Kawhi.

The Clippers are completely out of the picture. In no way are you going to build a legacy with the clown franchise in LA. How many fans do they have, 3?

With the Lakers he can build a legacy. The Raptors are a house of cards. They have 1-year left and will be back to basketball obscurity.

Canada doesn't give a rat's ass about 4th of july. :doh

Maybe he didn't want to **** on LA, right after an earthquake--much more likely.

It will be interesting if the Lakers are finally the best team in LA again.

I would never presume to know what another man's intensions are or will be, not getting paid to fantasize and having no desire to disrespect the thought processes of others. That said, I'd make a couple of points:

1. Not a single earthquake in Toronto today or yesterday and the ground hasn't shaken here since the Raptors' championship parade and celebration.

2. If a player wants to win championships, not sure how joining LeBron, one of the NBA's all time losers in NBA final series, is the way to do it. LeBron is old, is 3 of 8 in NBA finals, has never won a damn thing on his own as his early years in Cleveland proved, and now he wants to feed his ego in his dying career years by raising himself up off the talents of other, better, players.

3. The Lakers have had several dynasties with better players than LeBron. Those Laker dynasties were lead by super players, many far less selfish and self-centered than LeBron, and many who made those who played around them better players as well instead of requiring other great players to come join them so they could feed off other's skill and glory.

4. Leonard has a chance, in Toronto, to solidify his status in the league by staying at least one more year and seeing if he and his teammates can get back to the finals and win another. And who knows, LA may be in the ocean this time next year.

He's signing with the Clippers.

Funny how in the 2 biggest US markets the 'so called Number 1 teams' in those markets(Knicks and Lakers) are now both #2.. And when I say #2, yes that can be read and taken 2 ways.

I’m glad to see Superteam 2.0 go down in flames. If LeBron wins now, he’ll have earned it.

Chris Paul And Kawhi are an interesting draw. But so too is James and Davis. I wouldn’t say Lakers are crap. But, they certainly are not a lock.

Knicks? Yeah, they do suck. But Nets are paying a fortune for a question mark who can’t even play for 25% of his contract, and he will be no better than average for a year, when he returns.

Kyrie gets hurt a lot too. And his style of play does not have longevity written all over it. Knees don’t appreciate seeing that kind of torque after a certain age.

Soooooo.........NOT the Lakers dynasty...

huh...

Yep... It just seems weird to a 'casual' NBA fan like me to hear rumors for months about these FA's, but not a single 'big' name FA signed with the Knicks or Lakers. Obviously Davis is a big name for the Lakers, but they had to trade for him..

Knicks and Lakers have screwed up ownership. Clips have a solid one. Nets, I think, are Russian financed. Curious to see how that plays out.

I lack faith in NJ. Durant will be a non-factor for most of two years. And, Kyrie has yet to demonstrate that he can stay healthy for more than two years in a row. Plus, the guy is a cancer.

First of all, Chris Paul is with the Rockets. The Clippers traded for Paul George. This is the same genius that signed a long-term deal with the Thunder and now is demanding a trade to play with Kawhi Leonard.

The Clippers are far from a lock. Kawhi Leonard will miss at least 10-20 games in the regular season for load management.

Paul George is not a player I would trust. He first promised he would deliver a championship to Indiana:

He was asked if he wants to stay with the Pacers.

"Of course, again what I'm preaching, more so than you see now, is having guys that I can win with, and wanting to win. It came from the heart, very sincere on wanting to bring that to Indiana...that's where my heart's always going to be at," George said.

He went on the say, "it's all about trying to bring a championship to Indiana."

“I’m here to stay,” George said at the party.

Now, thanks to a behind-the-scenes video that has dropped, we know the rest of the message George told those in attendance at the private party in Oklahoma City.

“I think what we and [Westbrook] can accomplish, we can bring it home,” George continued. “I’m excited and I’m happy to be back.”

Pacer and Thunder fans would agree Paul George is not the answer. Plus he is coming off serious shoulder surgery.

Oh good. I had the wrong Paul. I was wondering...why Chris Paul?

George is way better than Chris.

How Kawhi pulled Paul George away from OKC

Clippers are now way better than the Lakers

You claimed the Lakers overpaid for Anthony Davis, yet defend the Clippers giving the keys to the city for PG?

Lol...the keys were to land Kawhi. Too bad the Lakers already lost their keys. :lamo

Relax: Davis is better than PG. Kawhi, who is in his prime, though, is better than all four.

At least I am not a Cavs fan. Now you can watch your trainwreck team trade for Russell Westbrook. Best of luck with that maniac.

I’m not a Cav’s fan. I was a LeBron fan when he was a Cav. There’s a difference.

Westbrook to Cleveland does sound interesting though. Got a link?

With the news this morning, the Lakers would not even win the Los Angels championship, let alone California, and far short of the whole NBA.

No No No!!!

The Clippers are the B team in Los Angeles. The Lakers are the A-Team. I guarantee the Lakers will win more games than the Clippers. Anthony Davis is a better player than Kawhi!

Your NBA "guarantees" are about Oh fer twenty lately. :lamo

Davis is not a better player then Kawhi, who won two titles with two team in two conferences. Davis cannot even make the playoffs.

Time will tell but I suspect the Clippers will win more this season that the Lakers.

1. Kawhi won a title as a role player. Tim Duncan was the star player on that team.

2. Davis made the playoffs last year and swept the Blazers. It is not Davis' fault he was benched after demanding a trade.

After starting this disaster of a thread, one which blew up in your face, it might be a good idea to be contrite. It's pretty clear that your posts on this topic have been all fail.

The Lakers have signed Danny Green, JaVale McGee, and Quinn Cook, 5 rings between the 3.

You also forget Anthony Davis was a champion in college. He averages 26 ppg, but his specialty is in his defense.

LeBron for MVP
Davis for Defensive player of the year.

And they will probably sign, Kyle Korver, JR Smith, and Carmelo Anthony!
