[W:121] Republicans for Impeachment

I am a Republican and:

  • I'm not fed up with Trump, but he should be removed from office.

    Votes: 0 0.0%

  • Total voters
    30
Impeached for what...just because you don't like him? Keep it up and democrats can kiss the 2020 election good bye. I hope House republican force a vote on impeachment and see how many democrats fall in line with that? My guess less than 50 and the majority who didn't vote for impeachment, like the Green Deal, would vote present.

Please read the Mueller report.

The Democrats are perfectly capable of legislating at the same time as investigating. AOC will do what she will do regardless and Trump will lie about her regardless. Trump will win in the Senate unless his support among Republicans collapses, which isn't likely. They will be forced to support this repulsive man in public, on record. It may not as good for their careers as they think when all the facts come out. I really don't think Barr's investigations will turn up much, despite his best efforts.

Barr's investigations will go the way of the eight Benghazi investigations ... there's no there there.

It keeps the 2016 issues on the table in 2020.

The trouble with trying to impeach Trump is that it would never pass the Senate. The Republicans will continue to support Trump no matter what, because they are convinced that they won't get re-elected otherwise. Party before country. They're so busy trying to keep their jobs that that they don't have time to DO their jobs. The GOP is Trump's party now, and there is no honor left among them.

Liberal talking points, "Damning" and "party before country". There has never been a president before Trump that puts country first. Yes Trump is all about the USA winning, look at his policies.

I did. There is nothing there other than speculation about what was in President Trump's mind when he did entirely legal actions. That goes nowhere. It is as legitimate as my speculating your motive for posting on this forum is to act as a foreign agent for Putin and China - and then claiming that for that motive you should be prosecuted as an unregistered foreign agent. To support this, I would point to messages of yours that benefit Putin and China to prove your "motive."

Since no one can declare what another person's true motives were for something legal the person did, it all adds up to nothing.

They're going to answer that they want Trump impeached but not removed from office as they think that benefits them politically not because they think he should be impeached.

Polling shows ~41 percent support for impeachment so if you think it's going to happen you're dreaming. Democrats will just talk about it for months until it peters out. They'll do the most important investigations that damage Trump but keep it to a minimum so as to not annoy the public with too much of it.
I didn't vote for impeachment. I'm tired of this fiddle-****ing around with investigations and impeachment talk and charges and counter-charges. I want our elected officials, AND appointed ones, to do the damn job they were elected/appointed to do. Work on a budget, immigration, health care, defense, all those duties the Constitution assigns. Worry less about where Trump says his damn father was born and more about solving problems.

If the Dems want to take the Senate and WH show us what you got instead of bloviating about Trump in front of every camera in Washington DC. IF the GOP wants to hold the White House and the Senate and retake the House get off your asses an deliver what you've been promising since 2009; Trump kick started it, now it's up to GOP senators and representative to get 'er done.

I know that after all this talk, I just wanna impeach somebody. Anybody. I didn't get all likkered up fur nuthin.

Exactly. We didn't get to burn a witch so we should at least punish Trump for trying to put a stop to the witch hunt. When we break out the torches and pitch forks justice be damned. Somebody must be taken down or burned. You think we lived in a free country with justice for all. We need to put an end to these kind of crazy thoughts of innocent until proven guilty. That just takes all the fun out of a witch hunt.

Sanctions on Russian are not very effective.....The Russian economy goes up and down according to the price of oil. Without natural gas and oil the Russian economy would even fall faster then it is right now. No help needed applying more sanctions.

Are you kidding?

Sanctions on Russia Are Working

And then there's the Magnitsky Act, which goes beyond mere sanctions and was behind the infamous June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower, arranged by Veselnitskaya and attended by Manafort, Kushner, and Junior.

Please go for impeachment, fun watching the Liberals making fools of themselves.

Have I made any pro-impeachment statements? Typical rightie, assuming they know what others are not saying.

I don't want him impeached so much as I want him voted out in 2020, because when he leaves that office, there will be handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit waiting for him. There are still many aspects of Trump's crooked business dealings that are under investigation. Running for president was the biggest mistake of his life, and that was already a really high bar.

Considering the time left in his term, I too prefer voting Trump out over impeachment. It will give me great pleasure to vote against him. I live in a very red state, so my vote won't really affect the outcome, but it will still be personally satisfying. I'm hoping for a huge blue wave this time.

What people 'want' doesnt much matter. The standard for impeaching a president is not whether or not he damaged your *****.

So before anyone makes the mistake of painting themselves as a ****ing moron, they should ask one simple question...what High Crime has been proven against Trump that would justify his impeachment. If you are FOR his impeachment but cant answer FACTUALLY what CRIME has actually been PROVEN, then just go ahead and accept that you are as big a moron as Maxine Waters and carry on with your petty mindless hatred.

Christ you libs just keep running off at the mouth. You can't talk about policy because your guy Obama was the worst failure a president can be.

:lamo. You are a little... young arent ya? Jeebus ***** on a pogo stick the amount of slavish devotion towards the executive branch in America is the stuff kings take for granted.

Prove me wrong.
You made the claim, the burden is on you to prove you are right. I mean its not like he worked to pull us out of the great depression or lead us to war against the ****ing brutal axis. The sort of fireside chats that FDR did and the sort of feeling that he could relate in a way to the desperation of ordinary Americans is something Trump could never pull off for even a second. FDR had a lot of flaws that ive seen even republicans bury themselves defending but he did a hell of a lot more than hug the flag. I think i am well justified in laughing. Der trumpengroper has only tried to relate to his base’s hatred.

Either way they're not trump's baby. He didn't want a ar[r] of it...

Couldn't resist.

I'm voting for Trump and Democrat fascist-socialist radicals pursuing impeachment will assure his re-election - so go for it!

Impeachment proceedings in the House of Representatives or even just pursuing it assures the most offensive, extreme fascist-socialists will not only control the Democratic primary but also will be the voice and face of the Democratic Party.

Just trying to be helpful here: you can't really make a sentence entirely out of adjectives.

And who would that be that did pull us out of the great depression, I take it was your Obama that borrowed 10 Trillion in just 8 yrs and all we got for it was "the worst economic recovery in US History."

FDR had a differ set of circumstances than Trump has today. But Obama was the one that handed over his presidency to Trump. And that is were we have a good comparison. Now I'm all for comparing Obama's failure vs Trump successes. So let's get started, say the word.

BTW: to answer your quesiton

Leaders of the United States, Mexico and Canada have just signed their new trade deal to replace NAFTA.
President Donald Trump, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signed their new pact Friday at the G-20 summit in Argentina.
The new deal, called USMCA, still needs lawmakers in all three countries to ratify it. As is, the USMCA is lot like NAFTA but with a few upgrades.
For one, it increases the amount of dairy products that US farmers can export to Canada without tariffs, while allowing more Canadian peanut products into the United States untaxed. It also requires US automakers to use more car parts made in the United States to avoid tariffs.
But the most striking difference from NAFTA involves protections for workers in all three countries. Mexico has agreed to pass laws giving workers the right to real union representation, to extend labor protections to migrant workers (who are often from Central America), and to protect women from discrimination.
American auto companies that assemble their cars in Mexico would also have to use more US-made car parts to avoid tariffs, which would help US factory workers. And about 40 percent of those cars would have to be made by workers earning at least $16 an hour — three times more than Mexico’s minimum wage for an entire work day.
And unlike NAFTA, the new deal allows each country to sanction each other for labor violations that impact trade. It’s a complex, multi-step process modeled after similar protections in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), a trade deal that Trump pulled the United States out of after taking office.
These are much-needed reforms, and they address some of the concerns that US labor unions have long had about NAFTA. But it’s one thing to make trading partners adopt strict labor laws —making sure they enforce those laws has proven much, much harder.

I voted to impeach but not remove because it will force the democrats to put up or shut up, and at the same time give the Republicans a chance to make their argument.

The typical zero sum game. As long as articles of impeachment hurt the Dems I'm all for it.

What this actually says is that you don't really care what Trump does. Trumps survival is paramount. The country be damned.
