Although this is getting off topic, I believe your surmise is correct. Mom always fills out the census.

There are no other question, I would I be not also be right to say that should any other questions appear on the Census form, I am under no legal obligation to answer them ?

I've been very active in the world of guns and gun ownership and I've met and known thousands of gun owners.

But I do take it back about all of them being responsible. Some police officers I've known are very irresponsible and all police officers are gun owners as required by their job.

He might but I somehow doubt it.

For what it's worth, I think the extra questions are intrusive as well as unconstitutional.

Have you heard of or seen the American Community Survey - I'm not sure if it's still sent out.

Yes, kinda. It's being changed this year. As an avid genealogist, I appreciate the details that are included. Of course, that's why it's embargoed for 70 years.

Then I share your passion.

I am a sad guy who loves to watch the credits of an American movie and spot the origin of the last names.

I had an argument with some guy one the Lee Harvey Oswald's name really meant "Eastwood" and was a contraction of that.


It would spoil the "Man with no Name" trilogy's legacy I guess.


In the UK, there's also a (voluntary) question about religious faith, I got kinda worked about that and wondered if there's any limit to which the government can intrude on your privacy. Until I learned that some groups actually want it to be included so they could be counted. Like Sikhs.
