Trump's ever-changing Corona virus narrative

Trump is a poor leader, and this Covid incident has demonstrated that in spades. He and his fan base are thin-skinned, unable to withstand any criticism, almost like spoiled children.

That said, there is counterpoint perspective in this case. The media IS overplaying this.

Corona: The Case Number Game - LewRockwell

None of the numbers are "diagnostic" are this point. They won't be until we have more saturation of testing.

So saying are going well OR going terrible right this moment is simply premature.

Social distancing efforts should be helping, but we won't know how much for a while either.

You can safely assume that I have actually served in public office.

That's great. Also irrelevant to your media and journalism experience.

The thing that I think scares them the most is that it won't end up as bad as their hyperbole needs it to be.

That isn't to say it can't get bad. A quick look at the EU statistics show how bad it could be here.. but it isn't that bad here, and that frustrates the rabid anti-Trumpers.

Given Pelosi's spending bill, I've given up on the possibilities that leftwingers care. None of it was Covid related, just bull**** to seize power.

Trump's new idea is to spin 100,000 virus deaths into a campaign theme.

We'll leave that to the morbid leftwingers. They're good at that sort of thing.

And yet the Democratic Party still demands we open our borders and allow every infected person in the world to come here for free medical care.

What a stupid thing to say. You guys are losing your minds.
Seriously.

Pelosi represents everyone on the left, Trump represents everyone on the right, you guys are sooò ****ed.

So, attacking Trump for getting information wrong is approved while attacking the WHO for getting information wrong is a "right wing meme"?

That's pretty much all anyone needs to know about using you as a source of reasonable discussion.

Some fail to note that fairly early on the head of WHO was in China, praising the Chinese for their initial and ongoing response to the virus, totally ignoring their attempts to hide it from the world prior to that proving impossible. It should be noted as well that China is a lead financier of the WHO and the head was well aware of which side his bread was buttered, to coin an old phrase.

I find the health experts in my country and yours far more credible on the issue than anything coming out of the WHO. Even though they've made mistakes along the way, they have never, to my knowledge, blatantly carried the water of the administration that pays their salary at the expense of their own integrity.

Did you come out against her?

It's quite a good tactic on trump's part - at least as far as his followers are concerned. Of course he was saying it would be just a handful of deaths a few weeks ago but by pre-spinning 100,000 as a good number, when it comes in at 10k or 20k they get to say he prevented like 80k deaths.

That quote coincides with our shipment of 17.8 tons of masks, respirators, and other PPE to China.

U.S. sent 17.8 tons of masks, respirators, other PPE to China in February | OurQuadCities

Is that supposed to be a dig at President Trump? Are you aware that Canada, led by a liberal darling, also sent 17 tons of PPEs and ventilators, etc. to China at the start of this situation and now we are looking to ways to acquire the supplies we need internally? Generous nations offer help to those in need around the world - sometimes, it puts us in a tough spot, but countries like ours tend to be able to manage those situations.

Did you come out against her?

Can't recall mentioning her 'till just now. I'm just taking your word for it that she represents everyone on the left.
That's how you conservatives like things, innit? All or nothing, everyone completely obedient to the party, toes on the line, no dissension or discussion. That's how you rightists see politics, innit?

Trudeau is a Liberal but not much of a liberal.

Countries like ours would have been better able to manage this situation if we hadn't sent our supplies to China. But, we'll make do.

Not a Trump dig. I doubt that he was even aware of the shipment.

I presume there is a citation for this, right? A banner on the website, it appears in the list on the party platform. It doesn't have to be exact wording but really, really close will do, since it is a very specific charge.

You used weasel words. Statements like "leading Democrats" is purposely vague and undefined. Define the term.

Are you saying that no "leading Democrat" took the College of London report seriously? Do you think the College of London report is possible?

We agree on something.

Liberals typically agree on the factual whether or not they like it. Trumpites typically reject the factual when it disturbs them.

Amazing how the FOX Entertainers, Hannity and such went overnight from hoax, to reality
Happened when Trump started to act on C19

Hell, I had to take back some of the things I said about tucker Carlson. He was the first I believe to start believing

Yes he was an outlier on FOX

Dreaming yet again???

The is supposed to be a plan coming out to rate each county. phase 1, 2, or 3, for being ready to reduce restrictions, depending on the conditions in that county.

"They include mounting a large-scale contact tracing effort, widespread testing, building up health care capacity before easing restrictions, making future quarantines more targeted, and allowing those who have recovered and have some immunity to go back to work."

I agree - he's much more a big government socialist, masquerading as a liberal.

If I had my way Prime Minister Wilson-Rayboult would be giving the daily Covid updates.

Yes he was an outlier on FOX

For some reason mu TV now starts on Fox.

I caught him the other night.

Boy, to hear him talk he's part of the hoax too.

He was just explaining the **** out of the situation, 5x5 with the experts.

He even addressed the "get back to work" messaging. That maybe it could work, but the consequences if it doesn't would just negate any temorary "recovery", in spades. So take it slow and follow what the experts advise. But its gonna take time.
