New Mexico Store Bans ‘Obama & Other Muslims’

Stop. Stop, stop, stop. Because if you were to proceed, you might wind up saying something like this:

President Obama appears to have been quite adept at bringing out the absolute worst in so many Americans, including his own supporters as well as his detractors such as this fellow.

Far too many of President Obama's supporters project the belief that his Administration condones and justifies their violent racial protests involving vandalism, looting, assaults and even murder.

It seems that many of these so-called "protests" went uninterrupted by police departments that were ordered to stand down as violence and destruction exploded around them.

And Obama's detractors are reacting to 8 years of misguided concern for the rights of illegal aliens, refugees and terrorists while defending the good image of Islam; rather than the safety and welfare of American citizens.

The entirety of the Obama Presidency has been one big set back for race relations in America. I for one have certainly never seen it this bad in my 29 years of life.

That response deserves a nomination for Deflection Of The Year 2017. And we're only four days in!

You let us know when the authorities show up, won't you? Because clearly, this has been going on a long time and nobody has shown up yet.

But you keep hoping.

Then either they've taken a look at it and decided that the message is free speech, or they've given this white guy the benefit of the doubt.

And completely derail this thread in the process? No thanks; I'll let your massive deflection in Post 23 speak for itself.

I will leave it up to the authorities, not the laypeople, to decide if the tiny-font "care" text protects that sign under the First Amendment. If it does, well I hope that plenty of liberals use their free speech rights against Trump. :)

Oh don't worry. People will continue to spend their time reading the most obscure stuff in windows or on Twitter or something offensive said in passing that happens to get caught on somebody's recorder or on Facebook or on message boards--anything they can use to claim offensive or dangerous or un-politically correct or whatever merits liberal outrage across the land. Then they will organize marches or boycotts or attacks on the person's suppliers or advertisers or customers or whatever they can do to demand that every living soul either stay quiet or express themselves exactly as the liberals demand.

This is one guy--probably a real redneck jerk who is completely inappropriate and offensive to most of us--but it is HIS window and HIS business and HIS customers who probably put most of that stuff in his window and who is he really hurting? Who has the moral authority to say how he must express himself. If he gets people to read the sign KILL OBAMA - care, by manipulating the font, is that really that big a deal that it merits a national discussion and call for the feds to descend on this guy with a vengeance?

It's a matter of perspective and allowing people to be who they are however much we disapprove of them when they aren't hurting anybody.

The irony is that the store owner, who is probably disgustingly fat, won't be able to afford insurance without Obamacare.

Sure, pull stuff out of your ass. Go ahead.

Always trying to push an identity politics agenda, I see.

Remember when some random nobody that was barely worthy of local news is now national news as if it really means something? Ah, the good 'ol days. Now every single time some random asshat does something it's an outrage and people see racists behind every corner.

You haven't made a point.

For all your whining about Obama "killing women and children" nothing he's done has been in any way out of the ordinary when it comes to war fighting.

I think Kill Obama (care) puts this store owner in the clear.

What he said was dumb, but I don't see any cause for concern over that.

Sure, that's why even the leftwing media made a big deal of it.

Speaking of laypeople. This also relates to the topic of discussion.

Very dumb. Just like some of the stuff Trump tweets more often than most of us would like. :) But if it gets people to read it, then it could be dumb like a fox. Or maybe he just enjoys the melt down when people read it wrong. I don't know. That sign would not be allowed in my store window, but again, I just don't see it as all that big a deal.

Just as I thought... :giggle1:

Have a lovely day~

It's all in context. The fact that "care" is in extremely small print says it all, especially when you see that the poster right next to it says "2012 Don't re-nig". This asshole is a racist looney tune who would just love to see an assassination.. And if the residents there didn't support what he is posting, he would have been out of business by now.

That's an excellent description of the political left.

But they do and that's all that matters. I don't agree with him and I wouldn't shop there if I lived in the area, but he has the right to speak his mind, he has done so and he isn't suffering any negative repercussions from it that I can see. So why is it any of anyone's business?

Sure, as long as he is not actually oppressing anyone, he has every right to say what's on his mind. What makes it my business is that, if I am looking for a place to move to, I want to be able know enough about places so I can cross a ****hole like that off my list, and also let others know that the place is a ****hole. They can then decide for themselves if they want to be associated with cretins like that. And, by the way, freedom of speech is not limited to assholes like him. I also have freedom of speech, and if the man is a damn racist jerk, then I am going to call it like I see it. The man is a damn racist jerk and so is the community that supports him with their business.

"Kill Obama"?? How the hell has this store not been IMMEDIATELY shut down??

Authorities can't shut the store down. They can only adress the owner/manager.

Welcome to Trump's America.

It doesn't say "Kill Obama", it says "Kill Obamacare". Read the OP.

It says Kill Obama with the words "care" written underneath in much smaller lettering. Here's the image. Right hand side.

He seems nice  Another Putin lover, birther, bigoted moron.

Which is what I pointed out and someone kept ignoring the "care" part. I don't agree with what he says but he certainly has the right to say it.
