Special counsel Robert Mueller's highly anticipated report handed off to Department of Justice

I suppose you should, if you think letting foreign hostile governments have a hand in electing your guy is a good thing. Absolutely, send them a thank-you note.
It wasn't Trump's fault and Obama let it go on. Plus the Ukraine interfered on Hillary's behalf.

giphy.gif

Tell that to all those crony criminals that used to be Trump's pals.

Okay my Liberal friends do you know what this means? Fox News got it right and CNN, MSNBC, NBC, and Huffington Post, NY Times and the Washington Post ALL lied to you. Now don't you feel stupid. Personally I'd be a little pissed that they lied to me if I trusted them.

This guy here certainly is pissed ... at Mueller. :lamo

MSNBC's Chris Matthews meltdown on national TV:

“Maybe he missed the boat here,” Matthews responded. “Because we know about the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016, we know about the meeting at the cigar bar with Kilimnik. My God, we know about all of those meetings with Kislyak at the Republican convention in Cleveland. All these dots we’re now to believe don’t connect.”

“Well, that’s the conclusion in front of us,” Dilanian told Matthews. “All of that stuff was suggestive, it didn’t prove anything.

“Why was there never an interrogation of this president?” Matthews shot back. “We were told for weeks by experts, ‘You cannot deal with an obstruction-of-justice charge or investigation without getting the motive… How could they let Trump off the hook?... He will not be charged with obstruction of justice or collusion without having to sit down with the Special Counsel Mueller and answer his damn questions. How could that happen?”

But my personal favourite one is Sheppy on Fox News. Back in 2016 he had a genuine meltdown on TV after Trump got elected. (grin)
Too bad that I'll have to wait until Monday to see his mascara mingle with his eyeliner while running down his face.

I wish that it was over. It's only just beginning.
The Mueller investigation is over. I know Schiff and others will try to keep it rolling but the hearts and minds of the independents will know what the truth is.

If the report shows no cooperation between the trump campaign and the Russians it would mean America elected Trump president by it's own free will which effectively makes us the dumbest country on the planet.

Sometimes a President you don't like is going to be elected. Sometimes a genuinely unlikeable President is going to be elected (or in the case of LBJ, step up after an assassination). In the 2016 election, voters were faced with two unlikeable candidates, and I think a lot of voters chose what they regarded as the "lesser of two evils."

It wasn't about Russian collusion.

It was about Russian interference. At least originally. But Trump, unable to deal with any hint that his election wasn't legitimate, obsessed over it and he hammered the word "collusion." Whether that was because he thought he could deflect to that, or whether it was because he was too stupid to know a better word to use, his obsession and his attempts to head the investigation off turned it into an investigation about him. And he caused the investigation to be expanded to the point that it scooped up many of his criminal associates and launched investigations in multiple courts, which will be dogging him and his family for years.

I don't expect "collusion" to be a charge arising from this. There appears to have been attempts at collusion, such as the infamous Trump Tower meeting, which fell flat. Such failures are unsurprising now that two years of the Trump presidency have shown him and his associates to be profoundly incompetent. But that's not what this investigation was about. Mueller kept his eye on the ball and has given the courts and the historians much to work with, as we have already seen in many court filings.

There is no moving on, not until all these cases work their way through court, and not until the Democrats have had as much time exposing Trump as Republicans had in providing him cover. If your side is unhappy with Democrats holding Trump Co accountable for their extreme corruption, then they can elect enough Republicans back to Congress to put a halt to Congress doing their constitutional duty.

In the meantime, buckle up, Buttercup.

"Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night'.

...I think a lot of voters chose what they regarded as the "lesser of two evils."
And every single one of those is a hypocrite asshole, because anyone who chooses "lesser evil" is still choosing evil.

Someone needs to sit up with Chris Matthews tonight to make sure he doesn't do something stupid.

I'll have to make a point in watching Sheppy. :lamo

I think, if the report reveals Trump to be a vile criminal much akin to the The Joker or even The Riddler, those who currently support him will still support him.

If the report reveals that Trump is as squeaky clean as a choir boy worthy of sainthood, those who oppose him will still oppose him.

So............

I also know the crappie are going to start biting any day now. It's good to keep one's priorities in order.

Special counsel Robert Mueller'''s highly anticipated report handed off to Department of Justice - ABC News

The investigation is over. Time for Democrats to move along. There is no Russian collusion.

:yt

The Democrats had a chance to spend the last TWO AND A HALF YEARS cleaning up the stinking, rotting carcass of their own horrendous party, but instead chose to insanely obsess over this ludicrous fantasy.

:doh

PS: The Republicans are also completely criminal and disgusting.

The Latest: Mueller not recommending any more indictments

WASHINGTON — The Latest on special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation (all times local):

5:58 p.m.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is not recommending any further indictments in the Russia investigation.

That’s according to a Justice Department official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the confidential recommendation.

Mueller notified Attorney General William Barr on Friday that he had concluded his probe of Russian election interference and any possible coordination with Donald Trump’s campaign.

—By Eric Tucker

5:57 p.m.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham expects that he and the panel’s top Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, will be briefed “in the coming days” about special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

The South Carolina Republican says he was notified by the Justice Department that Mueller’s report has been turned over and that Attorney General William Barr “will pursue as much transparency as possible.”

Graham says he expects to be “more thoroughly” briefed. He says he believed it was important for Mueller to do his job “without interference, and that has been accomplished.”

Did you forget how much has been handed off? In particular SDNY??

Congress has oversight as a co-equal branch. Mueller's task was narrow but Congress's is not. As with Watergate and Bill Clinton, Congress has the last word.

We haven't even seen the Mueller report yet. So, no it's not over. Besides, I'd be shocked if much of the report is made public. But, it should be for Congress, as that is part of their main function (oversight).

Even, if there was no election plan for Trump, with Russia, there certainly can be other crimes he has pulled. He may wish he had avoided a lot of attention by just sharing his tax return information; or not. There is, of coarse, the Southern District of New York. They claim to not care about politics, only crime.

Nope, not at all. For all conservatives my husband and I talked to, the "lesser of two evils" scenario would have been if Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton were the ones to chose from.

And a lot of republicans had already reached the point of "what's the point in even voting?" when your choice is liberal or liberal light.

Now...how much did this witch hunt cost American taxpayers?

my understanding is that the transfer of manafort's properties and equities to uncle sugar more than covered the cost of this investigation

Well, with more than 100 criminal charges and 34 indictments and counting that theory is pretty much out the window.

Yeah - just ask Alger Hiss.

The last two and a half years have been one of the most disgraceful in the political history of our nation.

First we have two sociopaths running for prez so that voters have no real choice, then the Democrats go full on Tailgunner Joe McCarthy when their sociopath fails.

Utterly disgraceful.

You got that right, but even better, we chose the better one.

Fox got the story right. CNN et al fed you with lies. :lamo

Well, they were right about it being a nothing burger...

Unbelievably!!! The most paranoid people on the planet, who fret over anything and everything when it is nothing, are happy giving a legal issue to a bunch of political hacks and then the sheeple can go back to contentedly munching.

What rule of law?

He is neither if those things.

He is someone with a lot of indicted criminals working directly for him and whose crimes he claims no knowledge off even when his signature is literally all over the place.....

He is no joker. He is no angel.

He is a weasel.
