Bernie Sanders Enters 2020 Presidential Campaign, No Longer An Underdog

You being one of the lead cultists, believing trump is king god actually are saying Biden has too much baggage!!!:lamo:lamo:lamo:lamo:lamo

Wow, just WOW!!!

Bidens 'baggage' is that he is an old white guy. Running in a party that is obsessed with identity politics, Biden checks all the wrong boxes.

I'm not so sure about the latter. Think back to when plugs was campaigning in 2012. He told a crowd of blacks not to vote for "them" because first thing they'll do is to "put y'all back in chains."

Oh, my, want me to counter your You Tube video with those of Obama making an ass out of himself? Why is it what someone says is more important than what someone does? you apparently want a politician in the WH who tells you what you want to hear and then does what he wants and is never held accountable for results. We had that for the 8 years of Obama

Why aren't these issues for you

Dumb Barack Obama Quotes and Gaffes

One has to wonder about Trump. Here's his party affiliations.

For the record
Until 1987 Trump was a Democrat
From 1987-1999 he was a Republican
In 1999 Trump became an Independent
2000 to 2001 Trump was a member of the Reform Party
2001 to 2009 he was a Democrat again
2009 to 2011 he became a Republican
2011 to 2012 Trump was a registered Independent
2012 to present he became a Republican again.

I was amazed that the Republican Party would nominate an 8 time party switcher. Trump owes no party loyalty to them. He really doesn't have an political ideology to speak of. Unless one thinks "The Wall," is a political ideology. I agree, he is not conservative. I think we seen this during his campaign with his supporters calling him a populist, a nationalist, even a nativist, anything but a conservative. Outside of the democratic party, few republicans would even today tag Trump as a conservative.

I think Trump was successful within the GOP as a lot of its members thought when the Republicans gained control of the House in 2010 they would govern and give the GOP base everything they wanted. They became very angry when that didn't happen. Forget the senate remained in Democratic hands and Obama was still president. There really wasn't anything the GOP house could do to combat that. Anger gave rise to Trump and what I see as a failure to understand how our government works. Taking the House wasn't going to change much. Sure it might stop a lot of Obama's inititives, but they could get none of their own.

Yes, I know that most independents lean one way or the other. History shows that those who identify with either major party vote for their candidates approximately 90% of the time. Independents who lean vote for candidates of the party they lean to a bit above 70%. You do have approximately 15-20% of independents with no leans or what I call true or pure independents. This is why the Democrats can win the independent vote 57-39% in 2006 and 51-46 in 2008, but lose them to the Republicans 37-56 in 2010, 49-50% in 2012, 42-54 in 2014. Independents in 2016 voted for Trump over Hillary 46-42 with 12% voting third party, but in congressional elections independents voted Republican 51-46. 2018 was another reversal with independents going Democratic 54-42. This is the recent history of independents.

Democrats has received a high of 57% of the independent vote over this time period and a low of 37%. republicans a high of 56% and a low of 39%. Independents are also far more likely to vote third party if they don't like the candidates or the major parties. We seen this in 2016 where only 3% of democrats voted third party, 4% of Republicans while 12% of independents did. In fact 9 million voters refused to choose between Trump and Clinton. You could have more than that if the Democrats nominate the wrong candidate.

Might be just guessing here, but I would suspect those various switches coincided with who was mayor of NY and the local politicians where he was building. He has said he "donated and became friends" with most of the politicians where he had property. So it would also look like he meant it when he needed a various permit or something and he happened to be a member of a certain political party. Trump Inc expanded greatly in those years.

Alrighty.

Opposition to Hillary Clinton. Although there are a few things I agreed with him on, the simple fact is that there are more options now, and my #1 is a three way tie between Sherrod Brown, Williamson and Beto. Sanders and Warren are tied for a distant second.

I like a lot of what Sanders has to say on economic issues, but I think he's too old and he's way too naive on foreign policy (didn't he say something like Iran and Saudi Arabia should work together to defeat ISIS? Those two countries would rather see ISIS thrive than collaborate). He also has the baggage of being backed by Fascist Russia in the 2016 election in an effort to steal votes from Hillary Clinton. We need a candidate who'll get tough with Putin, and Bernie the Hippie's just not that guy/gal.

For the record, I don't think he's a democratic socialist, even though constantly calls himself one to his own detriment. His policies are really more social democratic in nature.

Oh, my, want me to counter your You Tube video with those of Obama making an ass out of himself?

Sure, because it makes you look like a moron for incorrectly assuming that I like Obama simply because I pointed out Trump is a failure.

The **** is wrong with the voters in this country?

I dont like Trump. I didnt vote for Trump in 2016. I wont vote for Trump in 2020. I HOPE he doesnt run again in 2020. I still doubt he does. Trump is, in a word...a douchebag.

But....

Trump isnt a mindless ****ing socialist hell bent on turning the country into the next failed socialist Utopia. Under Trump, whether you give the credit to Obama or Trump, the economy is still growing. Unemployment rates continue to drop. Unemployment rates in minority communities continue to drop to record lows. Economic opportunities for minorities and women are at all time highs. Manufacturing jobs...jobs Obama swore were never coming back have seen grow them, despite the best efforts of leftists to kill them and the gleeful dance leftists do every time a component fails. With all the sustained economic growth in the face of constant opposition and despite the attempts of the leftists in this country to derail the economic progress we are enjoying, its amazing to me the number of idiots in this country that support a socialist jagoff that has never worked a day in his life in the private sector, never known anything but sucking off the governments tit or someone else's dime, and thinks he has solutions to run an economy. If you want to see Sanders in action, watch that dim ****ing bulb in any of his debates put on that stupid toothy grin he does and then stammer as he talks about how he is going to fund all the free **** he promises. Yes...the DNC conspired against him and handed the car keys to Hilary. But a large part of that is because as corrupt as they are,the body of the DNC is still smart enough to know that this country with an idiot like Sanders guiding policy is ****ing doomed.

Wow.

In just the first three hours following an announcement early Tuesday morning, the 2020 presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) says it raised more than $1 million—with the number still climbing—proving the army of small-dollar donors which fueled his 2016 campaign are still on board, 'feeling the Bern,' and ready to put their hard-earned money behind the Democratic candidate of their choice. According to sources from within the campaign, as of 11:00 AM Eastern time, Sanders raised $1.2 million from approximately 42,000 individual donors in all fifty states. Sanders was able to raise more money in a matter of hours than Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) raised in the entire first day of her campaign.

You could just counter him with the videos of democrats making perfectly coherent and salient points as to why illegal immigration is a dire threat requiring funding of border walls.

So then I was right - it doesn't matter who it is as long as it is Bernie. You'll find a reason to oppose anybody who isn't Bernie - as long as Bernie is running.

Okie dokie.

No what it shows is that the self proclaimed intellectual people may be the dumbest people on the face of the earth lacking basic logic and common sense. Name for me one of the Presidential candidates that isn't a multi millionaire?

You give yourself way too much credit for 24/7 Trump bashing may make you feel good but it doesn't put food on the table or clothes on the backs of kids, the Trump results do

I don't care who it is in 2020. Get the Orange Trumpet OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!

ABOUT. ****ING. TIME.

Seriously, Bernie is a ****ing jack-ass for making us wait so god damned long.

I consider Sanders to not only be the best candidate running, but the one with the greatest chances of actually winning. I like Tulsi and Warren, but Warren doesn't have his backbone, and nobody will address income inequality with the same fervor. More importantly, he has a huge advantage when it comes to popularity and name-recognition. I feel that Tulsi Gabbard would have to run a second time in order to have the same advantage. He was the obvious choice for me from the get-go, and I've been biting my nails every day that has past that he has not announced.

So then I was right - it doesn't matter who it is as long as it is Bernie. You'll find a reason to oppose anybody who isn't Bernie - as long as Bernie is running.

WTF? How do you get that from:

Although there are a few things I agreed with him on, the simple fact is that there are more options now, and my #1 is a three way tie between Sherrod Brown, Williamson and Beto. Sanders and Warren are tied for a distant second.

Are you sure you're quoting the right person?

You prefer this?:

This rambling moron sounds like a ****ing brain-damaged seal

As opposed to what? Someone who will tax and regulate me to death while opening up our southern border?

Good grief man.

Give us a viable alternative and we'll look at them. As it stands, your crazy town platform isn't a choice for the middle class on up.

It's gonna be very difficult to beat a Nobel prize winner!

Obama’s running again?

Ironically, as horrific as Obama was, he would be way better than the other idiots as a candidate!

Just think about that...Obama...the rest...That's how bad things are for the left.

So...did he become a member of the Democratic Party again? LOL!!

Anyway, I think he's wasting his time. The Dems have moved way to the left of even him.

LOL, no they haven't.

I kind of hope Democrats have moved beyond Sanders, if nothing else because he's not a Democrat except when he wants to freeload off the party infrastructure. Let him run as an 'independent' or under the banner of his actual party.

Um... there have been more than just republicans running this trickle down philosophy since 1980.

"Third way" by Clinton? Or are you referring to a mixed economy

No ****, you tend to lose when you are sabotaged and threatened and torpedoed by one of the largest fund raising machines on earth decides it wants to pick someone else.

Mark my words; Sanders wins over Trump. Every day.

Trump didn't lose....

And if he was upset about how he was treated last time by members of a party he only joins to freeload off the party infrastructure, there's a simple solution many have done before him - run as an independent or under his own party's banner.
