Michael Cohen pleads guilty to lying to Congress about Trump real estate project in Russia

That is a tough question. I never though I would see America fall to this level. We need a candidate that can return America to its rightful place as leader of the free world, champion of human rights and democracy and a cultivator of equal rights and equal opportunity.

We need a leader to make America Great Again!

I got just the guy!

That is correct.

The question is what "unnamed" conspirators, likely including Roger Stone, did in the distribution of these emails.

Bear in mind, however, to the extent that this conspiracy is better articulated, the Russians could well be a part of "Trump's criminal team", making Calamity's assertions right on target.
The bolded is a salient point.

I think one of the things that the cult trump propagandists are desperately trying to deflect from is that not only does Mueller all of Cohen's documents and records, Cohen also taped a ton of conversations with trump.

He had worked with trump long enough to know that he not only was a mobbed up grifter that never made a legal deal in his life, he was also a complete backstabber with no sense of loyalty to his own people.

Cohen was aware if the **** ever hit the fan trump would offer him up for sacrifice.

Cohen covered his own ass, and the worst day in trumps sliver spoon life was the day he flipped...
To the bolded: Well said!

Yeah.....unfortunately, the bumbling star of this sitcom has his finger on the button.

I am less concerned about that event than I am about the damage done to the relations between our two countries. There is serious and rapidly building anti-American backlash growing here. A ceremony over the soldiers who died in Afghanistan was disrupted by protesters last week, which pretty much carried the tail "**** America" was one of the biggest signs.

I my 70 years I have seen some really sick times between our countries, as we were with you in Afghanistan George W. Bush was launching his own trade war that cost this province alone, 12,000 jobs. So with Trump launching yet a third attack and lying about us "stealing" and "cheating" does not sit well....and as was said on the radio by one of the protesters about taking it out on average every day Americans ..."who else do we have to send our message to? Trump isn't listening, maybe they will listen when their stores shut down because if it" a voluntary boycott."

I have never seen it this bad, we had tough times with you guys in the late 60's and 70's. It lasted until the second Reagan administration when Prime Minister Mulroney and Reagan sang Irish duets. Since then we've tolerated things but with 4,000 dead fighting YOUR war and be called "cheaters" by a man with the morals of bacteria is just too much for many Canadians.

The militant progressives have already infused anti-American rhetoric into local issues...a current referendum on a progressive electoral system is now backed with "we need this so we don't become like the Excited States." Trump is such a pathetic childish piece of **** we didn't really need another trade war to grow some hate....Trump is the anithema to what is "Canadian", and, frankly an insult to our way of life, 'live and let live' etc.

No, it would be safe to say that "the world's greatest friendship" has suffered catastrophic damage.
Trump is also anathema to what is America, too.

I notice you don't put up Bathhouse Berry.
... I noticed you have a keen interest in a man's sexuality. It's creepy for someone who paints themselves as a devout Christian. I'm an atheist, I don't think about nicknames from bathhouses. I suppose some use them, but I don't generally bring up the topic. I wouldn't even know what a good nickname would be.

Why do you know?

Wait, so Bathhouse Berry the person who occasionally calls his so called wife "Michael" and has a boyfriend named "Larry" is a "Man"? ....well Ok, good to know.

Your creepy knowledge of what a person does in their private life is wild. I'm not sure why you have it, but for someone repulsed by homosexuality, you sure do know a lot of gossip from that world.

Why? You've yet to say.

Yeah, none of that is actually true.

But ......But....BUT... Manafort! Assange!...Ecuadorian Embassy or what other outrage of the day. Cohen is a liar...surprise surprise. His value as a witness is diminished

Presidents attorney .: Mr. Cohen you are a convicted liar. Were you lying then or are you lying now?

I'll wait to see Mueller's report and Trump's rebuttal report before indicting Trump.

.

Oh the Dem House will be looking into this pronto.

Sorry to hear that. But I'm not sure I trust a country that doesn't like ice in its soda drinks.

JOKE

Seriously I do regret the rift in our relationship.

I support Trump but I don't agree with everything he does. I honestly feel the corruption in the DOJ and FBI would have never been exposed if Hillary was elected. I'm not sure if the people who corrupted those departments will ever be brought to justice though.

They’d better. If the Dems pull their punches with their usual mealy-mouthed blather, they’re dead to me.

Cohen will have to testify. Trump Org financial records will need to be scrutinized, possibly even Trumps tax returns. Trump will go absolutely bonkers. I dont watch Maddow often, but will tune in when someting big breaks with the Special Council, last nights show being one. I can recommend, Rachel really does break it down well.

Mueller has Trumps take home exam, after this weeks news on Manafort and Cohen, the lies are being exposed. Trump thinks Mueller is giving him grief, wait until the House subpoenas start flying. And the Dems will do it all publicly, Trump will flip his lid and go totally unhinged.

You ain't seen nothing yet!!

Yeah, if the Democrats roll over this time, I can positively say I'm done with them for good.

They just won an election where 50% of the reason they won was the promise of oversight.

Huber is investigating the Clinton Foundation now Mark Meadows said the house is having a hearing December the 5th with Huber. Meadows said they have a couple of whistle blowers they are going to talk to. Follow the money.

Didn't the Senate keep the exhibitionist rapist out of jail on the last impeachment too?
Oh please, the Republicans have been investigating Hillary for years before the 2016 election. If there was anything to find, they would have released it then.

All you are trying to do is write another “but Hillary “ post to distract from the real outrages from Trump.

So...there wasn't any emolument when he was a candidate.

Thanks for walking that back.

Whether there was or not is a weak defense. It certainly was inappropriate and wrong on many levels, including lying to voters that he had no dealings with Russia. Even worse is that foreign policy statements were made to sweeten the potential deal.

So... Trump really was doing business in Russia and trying to build in Russia while he was lying to Americans and saying he wasn't? I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Who cares if he was doing business in Russia? It's a country, isn't it? Lots of people have done business in Russia - doesn't make them evil. Trump's done business around the world, not just Russia exclusively.

I can think of a Lefty named Bernie Sanders who chose to take his actual honeymoon in Russia, though - now that's saying something.

Because ... Trump didn't believe he would win the presidency, at least initially. I believe his campaign started-off as a PR stunt, and remained as such for a fair amount of time.

Yep. He figured he wouldnt get the nomination; wanted to have a good time; maybe say a few things that he had griped about for years ((NAFTA ect.). Oh well, political fallout...

I can't decide which is worse. Hating people of unlike mind who live in their country so much that they defend Trump selling it out to the Russians. Or being too stupid to see that Trump sold out the country to Russians.

Ok-- what did Trump sell out? He has been in office for two years. What has he done to draw this conclusion?

Oh?

What "foreign policy statements were made to sweeten the potential deal"?

I'll let David Sanger answer that from today's Times:
WASHINGTON — In late March 2016, steaming toward the Republican nomination and with his aides still secretly in talks for a real estate deal in Russia, Donald J. Trump made a lengthy case for giving President Vladimir V. Putin what he wanted most: relief from American-led sanctions for his annexation of Crimea.
...
As the campaign went on, his pro-Russia line continued. A proposal to support lethal aid to Ukraine in the Republican platform — something that would ordinarily be uncontroversial — was stripped out of the document before the Republican convention. In the end, all talk of supplying weapons was removed and replaced with a call to provide “appropriate assistance.”
...
After his election, his national security adviser-designate, Michael T. Flynn, engaged in conversations — which he later denied having — with the Russian ambassador about reversing other sanctions against Russia, imposed by Mr. Obama in retaliation for its efforts to influence the 2016 election.
Then, there is Trump's efforts to weaken NATO.

We all remember Trump's embarrassing Bill O'Reilly interview where Trump defends Putin. Bill O'Reilly said of Putin,"But he's a killer." Trump replied, "There are a lot of killers. You think our country's so innocent?"

It’s not some wild coincidence that this Administration’s foreign policy is most inexplicable toward the two countries - Russia and Saudi Arabia - where the Trump family pursues the most business.

His soul?;) But that likely happened years ago.

In office, Trump sold weaponry to Ukraine- something which Obama refused to do. Furthermore, the USA haa struck energy deals with the Baltic countries which undercut Russia.

I'll let David Sanger answer that from today's Times:

Beyond speculation, what evidence do you have that these positions were intended to sweeten any deal?

In any event, Trump DID impose sanctions for Russian actions in Crimea and he DID green light selling arms to Ukraine.

Then, there is Trump's efforts to weaken NATO.

Trump did nothing to try to "weaken NATO".

Looks to me like you are making wild, unsubstantiated connections to separate, unrelated issues and events.
