U.S. court voids 3 Texas congressional districts

Trump inheriting Obama's economy and then crediting himself for growth is like someone inheriting millions of dollars from their father and then claiming to be a successful businessman.

You are absolutely correct, Trump inherited the 1.6% GDP for 2016 and I thank Obama for that record which gave the GOP the Congress and the WH. it was indeed the Obama economy that gave us the Congress we have today. Thank you

Do you think redrawing the Congressional District lines is going to cost the Latino Republican his seat??

Why do you put the word Latino in front of Republican.

You're a couple of minutes away from getting Master PO's maps .

Per the court, Republicans intentionally drew district lines to water down Hispanic and Black representation. This was so blatant that SCOTUS will easily uphold the decision.

Court voids 3 Texas congressional districts

Another day from our illustrious Texas legislators who stay awake at night figuring out ways to oppress citizens that they don't take a liking to, which includes more than the majority number of folks in Texas.

I assume you didn't bother to look at the three congressional districts in question--typical.

Rhetorically shooting messengers by trump/Bannon republicans no longer works since Breitbart wouldn't cover this ruling by the Texas court.

The next post I put up will throw you for a loop since I got it from Master PO .

Most legislative districts look ridiculous. Ever see the ones in NY state?
DailyKos was celebrating that the decision will (hopefully) force the creation of racially gerrymandered seats, that would (hopefully) go Democrat.
The term 'minority' kind of means something. If the objective is to create 'minority' districts do as to elect racial and ethnic 'minorities' then by definition 'majority' districts that might very well elect racial and ethnic 'majorities' are going to be created as part and parcel of it.

Here's a link I got last night from Master PO. I owe him big time. The maps of the TX-33rd and TX-35th are in this link.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ngressional-districts/?utm_term=.5a38b0bff698

The map of the USA in this link is one of the best I've ever seen and clearly shows where the gerrymandering is in this country--in GOP states.

My original data showing 23 of 30 gerrymandered states to be GOP was only reconfirmed.

Maps showing the top ten are remarkable and clearly show what true Americans are up against .

See post #56, which is on topic .

Because you have made a big issue out of this supposed Gerrymandered District that is predominantly Latino, try to be consistant

The worst part, if the TX legislature doesn't change in the next two terms, is that Texas is scheduled to add 4 CDs after the 2020 census.

The sneaky Ryan GOP trumpcare doesn't bring in the bad stuff until after the 2020 census elections, trying to keep the remaps they have now .

Much of the reason that these districts exist is, wel, because it is the law.
Even if North Carolina had those additional Democratic legislators which the author argues they ought have, if they were all 'white' elected officials, that itself would be a problem.

Why do you think TX needs 4 CD's? You believe people are moving to TX want this state to turn Blue? you are a one trick pony

You are the one who continues to bring up the word Latino first in every gerrymandering thread, trying to racially deflect from what corrupt republicans are doing in your state of Texas and have been doing since the 1990 remaps .

Didn't you know Texas was gaining four congressional districts next decade ?

Cannot get your liberal way in this state, can you? Love this state as it makes people like you irrelevant and gives the rest of us the freedom to be the best we can be

Yes, I know that because the population is growing so fast, wonder if you can figure out why? Could it be we aren't liberal and have a part time legislature with NO STATE INCOME TAXES? Or could it be because they don't want insurance, want the polluted air here and low wages? Let's see if you can figure it out

Good!!!!

Hopefully sooner or later things will be done by a third party and computer software based on mostly population and some geographical restrictions of course with another party double checking.

The score in North Carolina is 10-3 GOP, not exactly legal, but thanks for playing.

At least you have the liar sessions to cover for corrupt republicans now .

Oh, it's you. Meh!

Not as long as sessions and Bannon and GOP lawmakers are in charge for the next four years.

Now you know what GOPs meant by being in charge for the rest of the century after the 2014 DEM losses .

Try to stay focused on corrupt republican gerrymandering, Conservative .

Re: Panel voids 3 Texas congressional districts

Geographic proximity -- which is what is shown in the examples provided at the link in the OP.

Here's a link to a Washington Post article on gerrymandering -- https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...s-most-gerrymandered-congressional-districts/

That's the same link I put up in post #56 and is awesome. I admit I got it from Master PO. Gops can't escape their gerrymandering corruption anymore. Yet it won't mean anything if DEMs don't vote in the next two terms .

It's me? Ok, last time I checked TX has been run by a Conservative Governor and Legislature since the mid 90's when I moved here. So it if it me, I will take it. What a great state

I wish this kind of ruling happened more often.
