Where's the MSM's outrage on this? Why wasn't/isn't a constant leading story on the news? I do not and will not trust the media to tell us everything, without bias, regardless of network.

Oh, and Schumer should be ousted for his part.


Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has blasted Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) for knowingly lying about Trump being under investigation for ties to Russia.


Grassley, in a statement delivered to the Senate Floor, stated that way back in March, then-FBI Director James Comey told him and seven other Senate and House members, including Schumer, that President Donald Trump was not under investigation.

Schumer, however, continued to lie to the media, telling them the President was under investigation.

“That helped feed the media hysteria,” said Grassley.

“The Minority Leader even tried to say that the Senate shouldn’t vote on the Supreme Court nomination because the president was under investigation. And the whole time, he knew it wasn’t true.”

As an example, Schumer told reporters on March 21, “there is a cloud now hanging over the head of the president, and while that’s happening, to have a lifetime appointment made by this president seems very unseemly and there ought to be a delay.” Media hysteria ensued.

“Countless media articles falsely claimed the president was under investigation for colluding with Russia,” Grassley said in his statement.

“Over and over again, the media published selective leaks. They published classified half-truths. All this was used to make false allegations of sinister conduct by the president. And a lot of people believed it.”

“After a year of the entire might of the U.S. intelligence community and the FBI looking for evidence of collusion with the Russians, where is it?” he asked.

“Unfortunately, now it looks like Mr. Comey and the media might be doing the same thing to Attorney General Sessions.”

“Here we go again. The rumor mill is back in business. It’s insinuating improper ties with Russians and undermining people’s faith in another senior government official,” said Grassley on the current media hysteria over Jeff Sessions due to Comey suggesting that the FBI knew something about the Attorney General that they couldn’t disclose publically.

Liberals find nothing wrong with repeating a little white lie or telling a big black whopper if it furthers the cause.

Today the liberal cause is to bring down President Trump and his Presidency, which will then somehow overturn the election and Hillary will be President by default.

Schumer's base are loony libs who buy into the whole Trump Russia thing.So of course he is going to lie to them. Sore losers spreading lies and conspiracies about the opposing party's president is what they do as a means of trying to delegitimize that president. Its why a handful of republicans went with secret Muslim claims and birther claims, its why lib-tards made up claims of Bush stealing the election, going awol, lying for war and masterminding 9-11.If the next president is a democrat then I am sure a handful of republicans will make up stupid claims about that president and if that next president is a republican then a **** load of democrats will make up claims about that president.

"Trump" is and can be many things.

Trump is the man.

Trump is the campaign for office.

Trump is the organization behind the campaign for office.

Trump is the business empire.

Trump is the television and media personality.

Trump is the administration which holds the White House and Executive Branch of government.

And beyond that, Trump is a larger than life mythic figure incorporating all those things plus a healthy dose of legend and a blend of fact and fiction creating a brand symbolizing different things to different people.

When one says that Trump is under investigation, we all know that the Trump campaign and the apparatus of that campaign was indeed being looked at in the investigations. We also know that parts of his finances, particularly his ties to Russia, were also the object of much speculation and discussion and could well have been part of the inquiry.

Trump the human being did not necessarily have to be the specific target of any investigation for Schumer to be accurate that "Trump is under investimation" since TRUMP is all of those things I listed above.

We know that Donald Trump the person was obsessed with proving that he was not under investigation and Comey told him as much. And Trump took that as a great victory and some sort of stamp equal to that of innocence or virginity.

And that was stupid of him to do so since we all know that ones status in those areas can change on a dime. One can NOT be the subject of an investigation one day and find themselves the object of an investigation on the next day. That is how investigations work and that is there normal course of such events.

So this entire idea that Schumer lied and must be punished is stupid and inane and merely another right wing invented scandal to strike at one of their more vocal enemies.

Trump is everything and nothing. As Trump has clearly achieved deity status by his detractors, they are quite comfortable projecting their wildest thoughts onto him. When one mentions the word "Trump" it can mean anything you want it to be: such is his all encompassing power and presence.

Do the deractors plan on building any churches dedicated to him?

I can believe he said that, but I haven't yet seen where Schumer supposedly said that. I saw where Schumer apparently said there's a cloud over Trump, but even President Trump said that very thing to Comey, that there was a cloud over him.

Of course, that's a rhetorical question. The answer that should be obvious to any intelligent and honest person is that that whole gang is comprised of Congressional Elites...Establishment-types...who WANT the people to think Trump is under investigation.

My position is a rather simple one that needs no rephrasing - no interpretation - no restating - no other words - no translation - and no reformation. When one says TRUMP - it can refer to all the things I previously listed. And when one says TRUMP is being investigated, it can mean any of those things without meaning all or some other of those things.

And when one uses a title of respect that if they do not use they are criticized for, one should not read too much into formal politeness. Trump is President as recognized. And he is also those other things as well.

btw - I went back and read the OP and the article and at no time does there appear a quote from Schumer saying PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP is under investigation for colluding with the Russians as you claimed.

Are you getting this supposed quote from some other source you can identify?
