Who You support---Are You sure?

Is Mueller or McCain running for President?

I must have missed those announcements

I thought i was comparing Biden to Trump

Like i was Clinton to Trump years ago....

Two piles of crap.....both smell to high heaven, and neither choice is palatable at all

Yeah, but comparing Trump to Biden makes Trump look really good - the leftists are trying to smear Trump - as always.

Over kill as usual from the rabid right.

The guy's dead!

Have some ****ing respect!

You are confused - it isn't I who brought up McCain - take it up with the OP.

Standard Disclaimer: You would never run to the defense of anyone who wasn't a lefty - hence proving my point.

An Obvious Comparison. Enough Said.

I originally found Trump interesting until he dissed John McCain. As a fellow Vietnam Vet I always had the highest regard and respect for McCain. He did his duty for this country and as a result suffered for it as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton for a long 5 ½ years. I find it impossible to fathom what McCain went through during those years.

It would have been fine if Trump stuck to politics, dissed McCain or whoever for his political beliefs or actions as a Senator. But as a POW, that went way too far for me to stomach. I’ve been anti-Trump ever since. Then Trump adds to all of this going after a gold star family only because they had a different political belief and supported someone else for president.

Oh?

Because the National Socialist democrats had nothing but love for McCain when he ran for president?

But you're not a Republican, real or otherwise - and you want Republicans to fail.

So anyone with a brain would eschew what you say.
I have been a Repub. for quite some time. You probably confuse republicans with Trumpers.

However, I am not a single party voter......

What would I be deflecting?

The comparing of a man dead for many years, who the democrats viciously savaged and trashed - with the current candidate - who the shameful democrats viciously savage and trash is absurd and has zero bearing on anything.
Trumpers trash McCain and his family......
You will vote for who the party tells you to vote for - regardless of any outside factor.
I am not a party loyalist

There’s a long history of the military supporting republicans. Military vets voted for Trump 54-44 over Biden in 2020, 60-34 Trump over Clinton in 2016 and on back. The last time the democrats won the military vote was 1964. But most are voting against the democrats regardless of candidates. The democrats became known as the peace dove party back during Vietnam. They were very anti-Vietnam War, their 1972 nominee McGovern was known as unconditional surrender among the military as he advocated unconditional surrender to North Vietnam. If he won he would have immediately withdrawn all troops from Vietnam.

Then Carter oversaw a huge drawdown of the military during his presidency, Reagan when he came in rebuilt the military. Bill Clinton was another democratic president who oversaw another huge drawdown only to have G.W. Bush built the military back up. Obama during his presidency slashed troops strength. It’s always the democrats who want to decrease the military budget. This is a short history as there’s a book full more as to why the military votes republican.

But note the difference between 2016 and 2020. A 26-point advantage for Trump/republicans in 2016 down to a 10-point advantage in 2020. Although the military did vote for Trump in 2020, Biden came the closest of winning the military since LBJ did so in 1964. So maybe this long tradition of the military voting for republicans may be coming to an end thanks to Trump. Just keep in mind that long history of democratic drawdowns and cutting the defense budget to increasing the military strength and increasing the defense budget under republicans. The military has always faired much better overall under republican presidents than democratic ones. We’ll see what happens this year.
