Yeah, like when most of the GOP establishment agreed that anthropomorphic global warming was a problem, that abortion was a right, that the Voting Rights Act was a great thing that MUST be reapproved in toto, and that we should give amnesty to illegal aliens, huh?

Yep - ALL these have been supported by the GOP...but in "fmw world", the GOP somehow has moved LEFT in their quest to reject all these!

Your memory doesn't reach back very far. But there is no question that the GOP has current platform planks with which you disagree. No surprise there.

I hardly call CATO INSTITUTE which was founded by one of the Koch brothers and the other is on the board of directors. The CATO institute has a political agenda. Of course they love illegal immigrants and will use any justification to allow more. It's good business for them to hire people under the table.

Then you don't know the Cato Institute - a part of the Heritage Foundation - very well. But of course, since they do things like use actual hard data and hard numbers rather than just whatever's the far-right talking point of the day, then of course you're not willing to give them the time of day. I don't like them myself...but I know better than to dismiss them outright - they're the brainiest people on your side, even if you don't realize it.

Not to mention, almost nobody is showing up for the Democrat primaries, and Hillary is detested worse than Trump among your own party.

Trump DID say he wouldn't let any muslims into the US. Trump DID say he agreed with having all muslims register in a database and further things beyond that. Trump DID say that he wanted to make it easier to sue newspapers for libel whenever they print something an offended politician deems a "hit piece". Trump DID talk about getting rid of

Conservatism has almost all the answers... though I'm close to being a Milton Friedman libertarian.

If it's about Ayotte, I already know. We made a donation to her campaign yesterday, a large one. I'm voting all establishment candidates (whatever they hell they are, anyway) as a protest to the Trump voters.
