How you like Trump now?

I wonder how many people who voted for Trump understand that he has no problem working with D's, that when he kept saying that he will work with anyone to get a deal that he meant it....

To my mind Trump was very clear, but maybe some did not pay that close of attention.

I think plenty of people actually understand he never had a problem working with D's because they were tired with the games in DC. I think Democrats weren't listening to him when he said that and only listened to his hyperbole.

Not all of his supporters.. maybe 5% of them are Far Right as Trump flipped counties that 4 years ago voted for Obama. Couple of my Friends who are Democrats voted for Trump cause they saw it as a way to get the DNC's attention and end the Clinton-Bush Kingdom.

Probably many Trump votes were just anti-Clinton, but that doesn't explain why the R team also won both houses of Congress. Wonder what's going on there?

Oh, the Breitbart linky was from Sept. 28, 2015. They say it isn't a good idea to smoke weed and post.

Ahem.

Whether anyone likes or doesn't like Trump won't change the fact that he's the elected president of the USA for the next 4 years.

Me,I'm just hoping that he does some good things and the USA makes some progress while he's in the White House.

He got elected. Now let's see what he does.

He's going to do good, he was successful in Primary, successful in his choice of VP, successful in election.

He's only talked about the things he's going to do and be successful at so you kind of got to believe him.

Every President does this, they say all kinds of things and pander about imaginations of what they would do, but until you get in there and see from the helm there's no way they can know what will be required.

His supporters are faaaaaarrrr right wing... and they are in for a BIG surprise. All because they never give a damn about policies come election time. They only care about the (R). And it's going to burn them.

Politicians never do what they Campaigned on, they called him an outsider when actually he's an in-insider.

I think he will do what is best for the Country, he's listened to Obama.

Ask him if he's going to fix the tax code so that wealthy have to pay taxes like he wanted Mrs. Clinton to do in the debates.

Oh for sure, those on the Left have no ability to listen , but the question on the table is do they have the ability to work with people who dont conform to their ideological demands?

Wow, I really dont know...I see so many lefties these days who think that even suffering the presence of people who dont agree with them is abuse you know...

My confidence in the D's to get their **** together anytime soon is low.

Actually it does. R's had the House already yet lost 5 seats in 2016. Dems gained 5. Senate was never really up for grabs. Dems flipped 2 or 3.. depending on results. The seats up in the Senate were gonna go to current party. Except those 2-3 that got flipped. 2018 is the big year.. If everybody in the Senate that has to run in 2018.. Republicans would have gotten a 60 votes in the Senate.

That's a question Democrats have to answer.. or they have a serious chance of being a political party of no importance outside of cities and the coasts over the next 4 years. Hell, they aren't even really part of State Governments anymore. They moved way far left in the last 8 years and are stuck in an echo chamber.

The danger of course is that they go radical left which tends to mean all or nothing so they will end up taking nothing because they are not willing to work with anyone who is not them.

Yep.. and the establishment is surprised they lost.. they just don't pay attention to the fact the US is centrist.

Read something on that which was great,,,something to the effect "they dont expect much, just what they used to have...... a chance to work to make a living wage, the ability to send their kids to college if they want to go, to be able to get one way or another medical care so that illness is not a disaster unless it has to be and so we maintain quality of life......but the system all too often does not allow for this. And the bosses dont seem to notice or care if they do. Which is why people are so freakin pissed that we will vote for a guy like Trump. The elite did this to themselves"....something like that.

We could probably also add "but those who are not willing to work, are not willing to get an education, are not willing to play by the rules, they get handouts to shut them up. And buy their votes".

Yep.. US News had an okay article. I grew up in PA and now live in Ohio.. worked in the "establishment" bubble for years but I know why people voted the way they did where I live and grew up. I am reminded of it every time I talk to friends or go back home because I grew up with those got a part time job, then got a full time job to lose that job because of regulation in the Lumber Industry, Coal Industry or the manufacturing job at JLG or Grove Manufacturing went overseas because TPP was a "sure thing". I could have, and I didn't comment on it, when I heard Hillary say Coal jobs weren't coming back and she'd put them out of business in Democratic Debate in Columbus. I looked at my brother who was visiting me in Columbus, Ohio and we both knew she lost Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan and PA in a national election right then.

Trump isn't right winged and never has been. He's actually a Blue Dog Democrat.

He's not a blue dog Democrat. Someone like Jim Webb is a blue dog Democrat.

Trump's a big government NY liberal. Always has been.

Trump is a blue dog.. in NY terms, so yes big when you throw out Jim Webb. But Jim Webb was pushed out by Democrats and Webb is a Republican as the DNC rejected him.

Too bad the DNC rejected Webb. I still maintain that a Biden/Webb ticket would have been better than the Clinton/Kaine ticket. Biden/Webb would have won some of those white voters in rust belt states Trump won, while still getting enough minority support, IMO.

Biden would have pissed off too many voters. He's a career politician who said racist things, plagiarized and pushed bankruptcy laws for the middle and lower class.
.

Biden is a disaster and Dems were smart enough to walk from.

Trump is all those things and worse, besides being a career politician.

I'm not saying Biden was the best choice, but he was better than Clinton. And with Webb as his VP, they could have defeated Trump/Pence.

WOW, and this comes from you...

When the snow falls all that we can do is shovel it and hope for better weather tomorrow.

4 years from now there'll be another election.

The winner of that election will be determined by what Mr Trump does in the next 4 years.

No, they couldn't have. Biden is establishment. This vote was a big **** You to Washington in which Biden is part of.

It's none of my business, and I'm not going to ask, but if you are a tax paying American living and working in Europe then you know what is at stake. The Liberalism/socialism practiced by Bill Clinton, Geo. W. Bush(and I hate to admit it), and Barack Obama have virtually erased the identity that American has nurtured for over 200 years. As a people and as a country, we are better than those ideologies. Hillary Clinton wanted to take our country further down the road of destruction. We have to be brave enough to admit it. She, and some of her predecessors, were pawns of George Soros and several other global enterprises that did not have our grandchildren's best interests at heart. I pray that Trump does.

You are right. We, as Americans, must now come together and join forces behind him. We must put our differences aside and search for the good things we have in common. No man living can go back, not even 10 minutes, to relive some earlier slight. To try is a fool's errand. Most of us had the advantage of being children whose parents taught us the difference between right and wrong. Now is the time to strive for what is right.

Pray for America. Now, more than ever before, WE need it
.

I don't waste my time on my knees.

I"ll judge Trump by what he does and gets done. Not by what he has said he would do.

No, they couldn't have. Biden is establishment. This vote was a big **** You to Washington in which Biden is part of.

And yet the establishment candidate actually received more votes than the outsider. Go figure.

Yet, lost Congressional districts which actually vote for President.

I hope that you're right,but we'll know more 4 years from now.

If Trump doesn't leave the USA in better shape than it was when he took office it will be his fault. The GOP controls Congress so he won't be able to blame Congress for lack of progress.

Yet, lost Congressional districts which actually vote for President.

She lost because young and minority voters who voted for Obama in 2012 didn't vote for her in key battle ground states like they did Obama.

As far as anti-establishment, Trump only passes muster because he doesn't bow down to the 'conservative' ideas put out by the Koch brothers think tanks. He pretty much will do what he wants on his terms. But, make no mistake, he wants to privatize as much as those think tanks. For instance, I heard he is big on a infrastructure package. Not the kind put out by FDR decades ago, but one that will be doled out to private interest. This means that it will be cheap to build for tax payers but more expensive as far as fees and tolls in the long run.

Lol, next post you're gonna blame Trump on Obama. :lamo

Actually the reason that trump got elected was that people were sick and tired of the unethical and corruption that obama let into
The government for the past 8 years.
