I. The capital owners are a subset of the economic participants, and yet they control the economy.

100% absurd!!! Consumers control the economy. IF consumers don't think owners provide them with the best products in the entire world to raise their standard of living at the fastest possible rate consumers drive owners into bankruptcy!! Is being driven into bankruptcy controling the economy to a liberal??? See why we say slow? What other logical conclusion is possible??

so there are no regulations on capital owners behavior,.

you mean other than producing the best product in the world to raise our standard of living at the fastest possible rate ??????

it empowers society .

of course thats plain liberal and stupid. Minimum wage raises prices, reduces employment, and slows business innovation so it does not empower society but rather harms it!! Do you understand?

Of course, they are glossing over the fact that pure capitalism was stillborn and has never been attempted as it would require anarchy.

I see no evidence of that nor have you prevented any!!!!!!

yes and there are 2 billion of them in 50 countries. Is 2 billion a few???????? Slow???????

2 billion is less than 7 billion, even if i were to buy your un-cited number.

Capitalists determine what products are available to consumers. This isn't a chicken and egg problem, we know what makes the decisions in a capitalist economy: capitalists.

A mixed economy that is neither socialism nor capitalism ? Yes, thankfully, we have a mixed economy and not some anarcho-capitalist dystopia.

Complete nonsense.

I believe the former but reject the latter.

.

actually you said a few people were in control??? Even if each business had one owner that makes 100 million people in control. Is that a few to a liberal??????

Leftists in general call for a more "democratic ownership of the means of production." That includes moderate liberals, to an extent as nearly every modern liberal demands more worker/union rights.

True, depending on your definition of "leftist." Few in our government are advocating for "democratic ownership of the means of production."

Capitalists determine what products are available to consumers.

100% liberal and perfectly stupid!! Try making a pet rock available while another guy makes a cure for cancer available. Which will consumers drive into bankruptcy. Who decides what's available, the consumer or the capitalist??? Isn't thinking fun??

Complete nonsense.

only a fool liberal would not be able to say why it is nonsense and still feel it is nonsense!!! See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance

actually no one mentioned some anarcho capitalist dystopia. Do you have any idea at all why you did??

I don't see why. Probably a guy who excels all through school, becomes an MD, earns his own money, and then risks it all by starting a medical technology company would not be any better on the board of his company than someone who is 21 years old and registered to vote!! This is obvious!!

what about the 62 richest people on earth who control who half the worlds wealth? what shall we do with them?

its a free world so if you don't want them to have so much money you can peacefully and simply stop buying their stuff and encourage others to do do the same or you could use liberal govt to violently steal their money at the point of a gun. Which do you prefer?

Is that a trick question?

who control half the worlds wealth?

they don't control any wealth they own businesses that survive only if they raise your standard of living at the fastest possible rate. Do you understand?

How sure are you about that?

we all buy stuff and thus control the wealth to do it but to suggest it is a problem is absurd especially when you are free to stop buying from folks who you don't want to have any more wealth!

how do you live without buying anything from corporations?

how do you live without buying anything from corporations?

Go into the woods. Live off the grid. Hunt your own meat. It's simple, don't you know?

Is 100 million greater than 7 billion according to you ?

100% liberal and perfectly stupid!! Try making a pet rock available while another guy makes a cure for cancer available. Which will consumers drive into bankruptcy. Who decides what's available, the consumer or the capitalist??? Isn't thinking fun??

Do you have any idea what you're talking about ?

only a fool liberal would not be able to say why it is nonsense and still feel it is nonsense!!! See why we say liberalism is based in pure ignorance

You were rambling about how the minimum wage is bad for society on the basis of your undemonstrated, prejudicial beliefs- of course it was nonsense.

actually no one mentioned some anarcho capitalist dystopia. Do you have any idea at all why you did??

Yes, because that's what form of government that pure capitalism would require in order to exist.

why do you say that?? in democracy everyone is equally free to vote for whom they choose and equally free to buy whatever they can afford!!

Because in democracy the mob rules so not everyone is treated equally.

I suppose in a pure democracy that is true but these days almost any democracy will have a Constitution. It is assumed when you say democracy.
