Are You OK With A Racist President, Republicans?

If Trump had said "go back to where you came from" to a white English immigrant who was complaining about our gun laws, would you call that "racist" too?

Not every totally d-bag comment is "racist."

He didn't say that. He said "go back to where you came from" to U.S. citizens born in the U.S.A. who are not white.

But it's a good point - if Trump didn't say what he did say, but something totally different in different circumstances to different people, we just might have a different opinion on this different thing he DID NOT SAY.

Just wonderin'.

No. That's why I was so glad Obama termed out. What that racist SOB did for the Nation is inexcusable.

Instead of being the one who like Martin Luther King Jr., brought everyone together, he was the opposite.

The problem is that now the Nation is squirming under the feted dump he left behind.

Everything is virtue signaling by the New Democratic Party. Everything is sexist, or racist, or you name whatever individual outrage the social justice warriors are instructed to scream about.

Obama, the man who set race relations back many decades through his divisive racist attitudes and politics.

:lamo Yeah, you're someone who really values racial unity and bringing everyone together, that's why you're a Trump supporter. :lamo Obama "set race relations back decades"?? Your lack of being genuine is obvious to everywhere here and makes it impossible to take anything you say seriously.

BUTWHATABOUTOBAMA!!!!??

Always a good one! Nice touch as well with the OBAMAISTHEREALRACIST! It's obvious you're freshest in the morning because this is excellent stuff.

Pulling the old Karl Rove trick of taking your worst attribute and accusing you opposition of it I see. It's lame and always has been. Apparently it works on the weak minded I guess.

Do you need examples of Obama's racism? There are many, you know.

In the interest of identifying political BS like in this instance, listen for the word "trope".
If it's there you can be certain it's merely a parroting what someone else said.
The only question is who said "trope" first.
I think I heard it 10 different times from 10 different people yesterday before seeing it picked up here.
Very obedient if nothing else.

I don't pay much attention to the current crop of intellectually vacant race baiters who dominate what is now the New Democratic Party

I find it remarkable their bigotry gets as much play as it does, but then again, with a media partnership and political leadership that has nothing to offer, I guess they have to try something to stay in power.

Thank you. And I would agree. Almost 70 years of early to bed, early to rise, has proven to be a successful recipe for me.

I used to tell people who worked for me to hit me up in the morning with problems, and don't expect the best stuff late in the afternoons.

Feigning ignorance of the racial implications of "go back where you came from" is barely a step up from actually being ignorant.

These Congresswomen have been insulting America, as though America is the worse place on the planet, to live. They think America has so many problems and needs so much fixing. Trump pointed out that the places of their ethnic origins, are not paradise. He suggested that they go back and fix these places, first, then he will listen. Run your utopia experiment there!

Nobody willfully immigrates to Somalia. People do not walk, on foot, for a 1000 miles to go to Somalia. Somalians, on the other hand, will willingly come to America to escape that violent and impoverished place. These women are very confused and may be projecting the short comings of their counties of ethnic origin, onto America. Trump suggested a reality check, if they think these places should be the model and standard for America.

Trump is doing therapy, while the left does not want these women healed of their irrational thinking and projections The left needs irrational people, and they are afraid that common sense will heal them and clear their heads.

A question we should ask of immigrants, is why did you come to America, if this place is so bad and has a history of evil, according to the Democrats? Most will say they came to America because this place has so much good. The evil the Democrat speak of was from the past, but this evil is still the present on their countries of origin.

They will also say the Democrats have taught us to play the race card and to pretend to be discriminated, so we can shake down the American system for freebies. American are so generous that guilt scams work. This scam seems to work, until people like Trump threaten to send you home. Then you appreciate what you have.

A good question for all Americans, citizen and residents, is would you be willing to live, in the place of your ethnic identity origin? Those who complain the most; guilt scam, are the least likely to say yes. People who are descendants of European countries would say, yes, since these countries are modern and civilized. These people, nevertheless, love America. Those who claim victim status, would say no. They left hose hell holes because it was dysfunctional and would not want to return accept to see family. Consider how many people seek amnesty from their hell hole countries of origin; 1000's per day.

If we tell everyone who complains about America to go back to your own country the trump needs to lead the way and head back to scotland

Just wonderin'.

Perhaps Trump is catering to whites. Then again democrats cater to blacks and Hispanics. As long as one is catering to one race or another, is there really any difference?

I'm white. He isn't catering to me. I take offense to his statement.

He's catering, or more like pandering, to racists.

I'm not okay with a racist President at all.

Good thing Trump isn't a racist, right?

Of course, being a racist was one of Obama's failings. That's one of the reasons I didn't like the guy.

Obama's racism is a conundrum for sure. Being half lily-white and half jet-black, which side do you suppose caused him to be racist?

Neither. It's not the color of his skin, it's his character.

Neither. It's not the color of his skin, it's his character.

I wonder if one's character has a genetic component, or does it come from the way one is raised? The conundrum persists.

I don't know if Trump is a racist or not.

I do know that simply declaring that he is one does not make it true.

This is the problem I have with so many people who use the tactics of moral panic.

First they declare that they hold the moral high ground. Then they use this moral high ground to "judge" those they disagree with. They then declare those they judge to be enemies of their ideologies guilty of some form of immorality. Finally they liberally apply one or more demonizing labels by fiat.

The next step is to continue to use such labels against both their main target, and anyone who dares to side with that target.

From that point on it is one ad hominin after another, and their "truth" is reinforced by those who seek inclusion (and thereby safety from being targeted) in their echo chambers of denigration.

So while I don't know if Trump is a racist or not, I need to repeat that constant declarations that he is one still doesn't make it true. :coffeepap:

Did Trump tell any of the Democratic Presidential candidates to go back where they came from? After all many of them hold the same political positions as "the Squad." Why did he choose them?

Yeah...I've heard of that. Nature vs Nurture.

But don't forget about free will.

His being the quintessential Manchurian Candidate, the conundrum is irrelevant.

He could say the sky is blue and you all would call it racist. :lamo

He could say he wants to kill every minority in America and you would say he is not racist
