The fact that Trump is a racist, and that he ran the most racist campaign since George Wallace, is exactly what inspired more of the Republican base to come out and vote for him in the primaries than another other Republican candidate in history.

What does where you're born have to do with your patriotism? Some of the most patriotic Canadians I know were born outside of Canada.
