"You're accused-PROVE YOU'RE INNOCENT." Thanks Democrats. Thanks a lot.

Blame the innocent much? We should all be prepared to be subjected to FALSE ACCUSATIONS, or "we're guilty"?

Thanks for proving the POINT of the OP, democrat.

( I know, "you're not a democrat you're an 'independent' " which is the current "fashionable term" democrats use to try to hide their glaring bias. )

The confirmation hearings are not to establish guilt/innocence. Not sure why that has been very difficult for some to understand.

It's being conducted exactly as I described; NO BURDEN of PROOF on the ACCUSERS , only on the ACCUSED.

Nobody has a burden of proof. An employer can refuse to hire you because he doesn’t like your tie. “Unresolved allegations of sexual assault” is exactly something I would turn someone down for.

What does that have to do with my post?

You're excusing every child-diddling scumbag because supposedly some men are poor victims. Pathetic, self serving and creepy.

If a man's life is ruined by accusations, he was garbage.

No...that is what they SHOULD BE, but are no longer.

The accuser isn't the one applying for the job, and the confirmation hearings do not establish guilt. It's not a criminal prosecution.

No...that is what they SHOULD BE, but are no longer.

They never were a criminal trial..so the whole "but are no longer" is completely nonsensical.

Tell the readers why you think Kavanaugh behaved in the manner he did during the Friday meeting? I've watched the video several times and it certainly seemed to me that he was acting like the privileged white boy he has always been, a person willing to lie his ass off to an audience which could place him in one of the most powerful positions in the American government. On more than one occasion he simply refused to answer direct questions - of course they came from those 'lying Dems' so he obviously didn't have to answer their questions.

Please show where I did that, because that false narrative is not going to fly.

Then what is the FBI's SEVENTH PROBE about?

And why is no one pursuing the BLATANT PERJURY committed by Ford, claiming that after the attack, she went to a Safeway , that records process, WAS NOT EVEN OPEN YET.

She screwed up and provided a VERIFIABLE FACT...and she PERJURED HERSELF WITH IT.

You're right of course. But, this tactic didn't begin with the Kavanaugh incident. There's a reason there are over 200,000 laws and regulations that can carry a criminal sentence in the U.S., and it's for precisely that reason. The average citizen commits 3 felonies a day, often times without realizing it. The system is designed that the government can now nab anyone that pisses them off, regardless of if they have done anything morally wrong or not. You're just now seeing something entertaining because the target happens to be in government, and different factions are battling over it.

This isn’t a revelation. Black people have been telling this story for a long time. Now that it is beginning to involve wealthy white guys it has “suddenly” become an issue.

You did what you did. Keep crying about child molestation accusations.

I didn't say anything about guilty. I said if one's house falls because of accusations, it's one's fault. Personal responsibility used to be a thing. Now the "personal responsibility" people are all about victim status.

The FBI was asked to investigate things that came up during the confirmation hearings, that doesn’t magically turn the confirmation hearings into a trial.

Would you hire someone with an unresolved allegation of sexual assault?

You're right. I've said the same on several occasions.

I see. I have an opinion. You don’t agree with it...

Shrug

You have a disgusting opinion based on apologizing for child molesters and applying victim status to them.

sar·casm

noun

noun: sarcasm; plural noun: sarcasms

1. the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.

Thanks for the attempt at increasing my education but I already knew the definition of sarcasm. My post still stands, the left will be overjoyed with your post and will love it. What do you hope to accomplish with a post that the left will feel proud of?

Read through the thread...they aren't exactly jumping with joy over my premise...and they know that my "thanks" were sarcasm. #belaboringtheobvious

Now, all that matters is the "seriousness of the accusation"...NOT THE STRENGTH OF THE EVIDENCE/PROOF, and the "burden of proof" is on the ACCUSED.

Thanks DEMOCRATS.

You managed to bring STALINIST METHODS into the US..better than Stalin EVER DREAMED POSSIBLE....

With Senator Ted Kennedy who left a young woman in a submerged automobile to asphyxiate and/or eventually drown--he didn't report it or go for help but went home to bed--there was no outcry from Democrats or the left that he was automatically guilty or an outcry for a full investigation ad nauseum or even a suggestion that he should step down. They just kept electing him, quoting him, holding him up as a lion of the Democrat Party.

With Governor or President Bill Clinton who was accused by multiple women of indecent exposure, assault, rape, and improper sexual relations with an intern, there was no outcry from Democrats or the left that he was automatically guilty or an outcry for a full investigation of all accusations ad nauseum or even a suggestion that he should step down. They defended him and accused the women who accused him. They were more than willing to put him right back into the White House as First Gentleman and his wife, who denigrated the women who accused him, into the White House as President.

We could go on and on how women are rarely credible who accuse Democrats or much of anybody on the Left. And to compare that to the way Judge Kavanaugh has been treated is quite stunning in the double standard and hypocrisy.

I so agree that if all it takes is to discredit any candidate for anything, or at the very least stall his/her confirmation or swearing in indefinitely, is to accuse him of some sexual misconduct or maybe a racial slur or some other politically incorrect infraction no matter how uncorroborated or how long ago it was. Now we even go back to high school conduct, so what's next, elementary school? And it doesn't have to be proved. The mere accusation is sufficient to disqualify. Nobody will ever be suitable for elected office ever again.

The scariest part of all of that is it seems only Republicans or those right of center who must be of absolute purity and exemplary conduct and have ironclad alibis for whatever accusation is leveled against him or her. If the person to be elected or confirmed is a Democrat or left of center, there are few crimes that he can be held accountable for, even if there is evidence and/or corroboration.
They're sure he is sorry, or didn't mean it, or it didn't happen the way it was said. Or it was too long ago. Or. . .or. . .or. . .

Welcome to the new fascism. If this is allowed to stand, we no longer have America as we know it.

Likely because the base argument being presented is retarded, partisan tripe.
