How are republicans even going to get through the door? If Latinos are coming in with politics that favors liberals and they won't even consider anyone but themselves there is no way to gain any ground with them. The republicans might as well walk away from those absurdly racist people and focus their attention elsewhere.
Coming in? Most of them have been here for at least a generation. And just because daddy was a fill in the blank doesn't mean junior will be. Community outreach in these communities works. Now it's not as simplistic as putting up a Latino. There needs to be a focus ground game. Andy Vidak one a heavily Latino district against a Democrat who was a Latina. Vdeck, grew up with the Mexican day laborers, he knew the culture, he went to fairs and carnivals speaking Spanish and communicating, that he was in their best interest. He was narrowly elected, over an incumbent Latina Democrat who was heavily favored to win that election.
Now, proving that as a wealthy white person that you have the interests of an impoverished community that's mainly Latino at heart is a tough mountain to climb, it can be done but you need to play the cards right. Having a Latino candidate get your foot in the door, then he can go to all the community events talking to them in Spanish and convince them to vote for him.
