He didn't stop it. That EO essentially says that he is ok with them being detained as a family for however long it takes for the hearing if the judge in the Flores case is ok with it too. He put it on the judge or congress to write a new law.

What's gonna happen on day 21 is the big question.

Trump aims to prosecute everyone for a crime and that's what is separating kids from their parents since zero tolerance was implemented. Obama did not have a widespread practice that resulted in the separation of families and where they were separated it was under the suspicion that there was trafficking going on.

I am not sure the public is fully aware of the problem of reconnecting the parents back with their respective children that have already been separated from their parents, now that Donald Trump has reversed his policy to remove children from the parents who are not official citizens.

The facts are coming in slowly, but we now know that there are up to about 3,000 children that been moved to facilities in 17 different states. And we are now learning that there was never even a procedure in place to keep certain records of parents and children or process in place with the intention of ever returning these children back to the parents. What were the authorities thinking here?

Now we are learning that a lot of the parents of the children being held in these secret government shelters, have already been thrown out of the country without their children.

I'm really awestruck about the cruelty, recklessness, and stupidity of this policy of this president that caused this crisis to begin with.

Well, first of all I would like to appreciate the media for exposing this failed policy, by their investigations and reporting that are keeping us informed of what is really going on here, as the public is banding together to insure that our government is going to reconnect these parents back to their children- every last one of them.

But Mr. President- you have some "splaining" to do Lucy!

Shocked! I have no other way to describe it!

Which makes it ok to scar children for life? Cruel and unusual punishment is what right wingers are all about these days, I guess. Worse, the kids aren't even the ones who did this terrible, terrible crime. You know, the crime of trying to get one's children to a safer place for a better life.

You do realize that if he was 'open borders' as you say...it worked...you know why? Under Obama, Mexican immigration to the US went to a net of ZERO....

Sorry, but we do not imprison 18 month old babies...it is wrong. We do send children who commit SERIOUS felonies to a juvenile detention camp...by serious, I mean rape and murder...children, even at 16 are not sent to prison for what amounts to a speeding ticket.

Kids are sent to juvenile all the time.

U.S. sends 2 million children to juvenile detention every year.
95% have never committed a violent crime.

I don't understand the reaction to this situation, is it claimed undocumented immigrants who travel with children should not be subject to arrest and prosecution? That children of arrested undocumented immigrants should be held with them? My preference would be for undocumented immigrant parents to get deported immediately (with their kids).

Dafuq? This is literally what is done every day to US citizens' kids when the parents are arrested and there are no family members readily available to take them in. What in the blazes are you arguing about, because it ain't reality.
