The GND estimates are between 30 and 90 trillion dollars. The total current budget is $4 trillion. Do the math. That aside, the idea that we should destroy the fossil fuel industry, probably the biggest wealth generator we have, is total insanity. It's also impossible as we have nothing to replace it with.

No, illegals shouldn't get anything free from the taxpayers other than a bus ticket home. Then, the magnet that draws illegals here has to be ended. We do that by enforcing the law against hiring them.

Your math is equal to your science it seems. Throw out a few impossibly big numbers, and you have an argument. What are those figures based on, though? How is the GND going to cost 90 trillion? Why not just say 90 gazillion, since the number is based on thin air anyway?

As for the fossil fuel industry, that can't be suddenly ended of course, but it will end sooner or later. The Earth is not creating any new fossils, after all, and petroleum will eventually have to go the way of whale oil.

The left need to prove that rising temps are actually due to man and not just one of the normal cycles the planet has gone through many times. It may very well just be a coincidence that today's rising temps just happen to be happening during the same time as the industrial revolution. You can't prove that that is not the case.

I think what you're concerned about is the Republicans' version of the Democrats' platform.

Thanks for the info. The idea that we can't eliminate fossil fuels had better be untrue. Fossil fuels are a nonrenewable energy source that will eventually run out. Before that happens the cost of extraction will make its continued use economically unsound (based on current technologies).

Why not charge businesses the actual cost of their product? The time of allowing businesses to profit off of destruction of the environment is coming to an end. You've stated your support of unbridled capitalism, true capitalism would reward companies with the most competitive product, not the one that can sell it cheapest because they are using our 'commons' without our permission.
