Not sure I see the argument here. Does stealing silver spoons make someone sub-human trash? That was an offense punishable by death in the olden days.
Is it a capital crime in the US today? NO! Then why in the world would someone bring it up? Oh, yeah, they might be a criminal loving dumb-ass. Maybe we should have a poll and ask.
If anyone is unwilling to do everything possible, including putting to death of evil scum, to prevent further evil, then they are aiding and abetting that evil.
And while your so concerned about how "humane" the Death penalty is, why don't you take a look at the crime scene photos or at least the articles about what these animals did to get the death penalty. Maybe go volunteer someplace to help the shattered remains of families affected by these individuals carry on somehow after having a hole ripped in their lives.
Death Row Inmates by State and Size of Death Row by Year | Death Penalty Information Center
3,070 on death row in the US as of 1 Jan 2014. While your being so humane and caring so much about these scum, think about the 100,000+ plus lives they shattered, destroyed and affected.
Repeat Felons Dominate the Criminal Justice System
77 percent of felony defendants have at least one prior arrest and 69 percent have multiple prior arrests. 61 percent have at least one conviction and 49 percent have multiple convictions.
35 percent of those charged with felonies have 10 or more prior arrests and another 17 percent have between 5 to 9 arrests, thus 52 percent of charged felons have been arrested and before the courts many times.
40 percent of those charged with burglary and motor vehicle theft have 10 or more arrests. 30 percent of violent offenders have 10 or more prior arrests.
40 percent of all felony convictions serve time in a state prison and 55 percent of those convicted for violent felonies serve time in state prisons. More serve less than six months in county jails.
Whats the number of prisoner escapes each year? Some years more, some less, but roughly 2,000 a year. Recent data is hard to find.
