Yet another ridiculous AOC thread.. She's been in politics all of 5 weeks.. lol FIVE WEEKS!!!!

Can't really tell one way or the other who or what she is and what she stands for.

Yeah border security, bringing jobs back, ending nuclear proliferation all must have sounded crazy to the left. Ever ponder why you lost?

I know why Hillary lost. Just enough low information voters in just the right states pulled the lever for Fat Donald.

Border security?

Why on earth is our President going on about "border security being a CRISIS"?

On the day he walked into the Oval Office as president we had more miles of physical barriers placed along our southern border than ever before in our history.

On that day we had more modern electronic and modern surveillance equipment along our southern border than ever before in our history.

On that day we had the largest cadres of CBP, ICE, other Immigration agents and Immigration Justice officers than ever before in our history.

On that day illegal border crossing was near a multiple decades low.

But somehow in two short years he has ****ed that all up so much so that he plans an emergency act of desperation to build his "big beautiful wall".

Oh. For a man that is all about "border security" why is it coming out how many illegal aliens were employed at his American properties?

Bringing jobs back?

Well that was a trend he inherited from his predecessor, I know that reality stings and is hard to swallow, but it is true. I just thank God his laziness has kept him from screwing with too much to have ruined all the progress made. I do love how I saw my fellow Right Wingers argue that a president couldn't create jobs when that president was Barack Hussein Obama, but the election of Fat Donald changed all that.

Why does he still request through the Department of Labor to hire foreign temp, low skilled, low paid workers at his properties if he is serious about American jobs for Americans?

Ending nuclear proliferation? Seriously? I guess you haven't been paying attention. Fat Donald wants to immensely expand our nuclear stockpiles. He has done nothing to stop the proliferation of nukes anywhere in the world. He elevated "little rocket man" to Thermo Nuclear Power status on the world stage without one bit of proof Kim Jong Un has rolled back or destroyed any of his nukes.

You too bought Fat Donald's phony bill of goods, lock, stock, and barrel!

Lord help us all!

Yes, she is of age (in this hypothetical). This is a generic question. No opponents are named. This is just a question of would you ever vote her president or not.

You can definitely see the power of Fox News. This generally irrelevant freshman Congressman from Queens seems to haunt the empty space in the heads of so many, just because Fox chose to demonize her by assigning to her name all Democratic sins before, during and after AoC.

Sorry but your question well illustrates your irrational fear of this woman. You need to think this through. The fact is, by the time she were to run for President, the idealism of her youth would be greatly tempered by the reality of her Washington experience (politics is the art of the possible) or she will never be a viable candidate and fall flat on her face in early primaries.

It is a far better use of your brain power to actually fear those that have power, not freshman congressmen that do not.

What she stands for at the moment is that she is some enigmatic Socialist entity that has star appeal so much so that it scares the Old Right Wing Guard in D.C. crapless!

I love her!

She really does threaten them!

Sorry but you question illustrates your fear of this woman. The fact is, by the time she were to run for President, the idealism of her youth would have been tempered by the reality of Washington or she would never get very far in primaries.

It is a far better use of your brain power to actually fear those that have power, not freshman congressman.

Good post!

Are we asking in the future or if we would vote for her today?

Well, the question was would you EVER vote for her for president but I do want to quantify that to mean that she would still hold the exact same views in the future that she currently does.

So you got outsmarted by low information voters? Did you ever ponder why?

I don't see why not especially after having at least 6 years of seasoning as a politician. The right wing calls her dumb, but I haven't heard her say anything even close to as stupid as the word salads that drop out of Trump's mouth every day.

this is almost as good a poll as

DO you HATE AMERICA AND WANT TO RUIN IT

When she gets a few more years under her belt, sure.

I believe it's called 'the bandwagon effect.' Americans love their controversial TV stars. An unqualified familiar face stirring up emotions and excitement will beat out a qualified unfamiliar face droning on about policy and governance every time. This is a good reason to be afraid of AOC. By the time she's able to run, I suspect she will be a very familiar face, and she's already capitalizing on stirring up the emotions of the left. There's no one on the right that can even hold a candle to her in that regard except Donald Trump. I think she will be to the right what Donald Trump has been to the left. Hopefully, when she does become president her policies will actually benefit the country instead of continuing to balloon the national debt and shoveling tax dollars directly into the pockets of the wealthy.

you think she has a prayer of becoming president?

Im not sure because i have yet to hear her position on gun control yet, but if her position is as well thought out as her new green deal, well then she has my vote.

I believe she is a hard core gun banner based on what I have heard

So you got outsmarted by low information voters? Did you ever ponder why?

No. I know why, as I already mentioned. Why is that there were more ignorant voters in just the right places in the 2016 Election to swing the Electoral College in favor of the most ill mannered, uninformed, misogynistic, bigoted, uninitiated, unimaginative, incurious president to come down the American pike ever.

He was able to sell that ignorant vote base a phony bill of goods of a size heretofore unseen.

Pretty simple stuff to those of us with a clue, like me, and everyone else who did not vote for Trump.

Thanks for allowing me to expand on that topic!:)

Based on the update I voted No. Her views and mine are worlds apart.

you think she has a prayer of becoming president?

Without a doubt. She is the "Trump" of the left. She can do no wrong. She is the only other politician who could "stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot somebody and not lose any voters." Those are the people who win elections.

I have slightly more faith in this country than you have I think. Trump might not be brilliant, he might not be smart, but this woman is rivaling Maxine Waters for the uber-dullard in Congress.

Ever? If reality ever struck her hard and she realized the total error of her ways and changed her political views to conservatism? Certainly.

But if she retained her present political views? She would have to be facing against someone so utterly horrible, that I would feel compelled to vote for her to avoid the destruction of our nation.

AOC is too radical and too uncompromising to be elected by the present-day US electorate which is just not politically aligned with her very socially progressive and economically leftist views. However the US electorate is changing and grassroots politics are beginning to gain enough traction to challenge traditional status quo politics. As the middle class is hollowed out and more and more US citizens begin to feel marginalised and ill-served by traditional status quo party political platforms, the US electorate will fracture and some of those fractions will radicalise. They will have little left to loose and thus the political barriers to and biases against voting in people like AOC will lower. They will roll the dice. Then what is presently unthinkable may become thinkable and this may then actually happen.

Personally, I think you might get an AOC-style candidate in a back-door way. Imagine a very charismatic, capable and determined presidential candidate who wants to dismantle the economic and political power of certain very powerful interests in America. That presidential candidate fears possible impeachment or assassination as a real possibility. Wouldn't it make sense to have a VP who was even more radical and frightening to those angry and very powerful interests waiting in the line of succession as an insurance policy to keep the prime candidate in office and able to conduct the reforms they have promised to do? Thus you might get a very radical potential VP as a bulwark against internal regime change by fear of who is the next in line. Then the threatened interests push back and pull the trigger. Bang! Welcome President AOC!

So, who can say what will happen in 10 or 20 years.

Cheers.
Evilroddy.

I voted no, but that is assuming neither of us change stances on issues and there isn't someone I feel is even worse running against her.

If the choice is AOC or Rump, then I would cast a vote for the lady.

I was just thinking about how she is essentially bizarro world Trump.

I almost wish she was able to run in 2020 because Trump vs She Guevara Presidential Debates would be truly entertaining, at least until you realize that 1 of them will be spending the next 4 years in the White House.

As bad as they are, I'm pretty sure Hank Johnson has that spot locked down.
