The question isnt whether Woodward made it up, but whether those who told him it happened are credible. Right now you have 2 Four Star Generals saying one thing and a person or persons who wish to remain anonymous saying another. You have to go with the people who have come forward

As long as Woodward is unwilling to provide proof to the rumors, nothing he says is worth the paper it's printed on...except to useful idiots and rumor-lovers.

Afternoon Trix,

Last week it was a trifecta of hits on Trump by design. First it was Woodward leaking excerpts of his book. Second it was the anonymous piece in the NYT. Third it was Obama coming out and giving speeches directly attacking Trump. And all this occurred while the left was showing their arses during the Kavanaugh hearings also by design.


When people in Trump's administration came out like Mattis and said what Woodward wrote about him was a piece of fiction and others followed denying what Woodward wrote ever happened. They were basically saying Woodward was pushing falsehoods. And how does Woodward respond? He calls Mattis and Kelly liars. When you look at the timing of Woodward's book alone, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out his motives behind it.

Same with the op-ed in the NYT by "anonymous". That too was perfectly timed. I do believe this person will be found out and my guess is he is a bureaucrat and will have some very strong ties to the NeverTrumpers in Congress. Corker, Flake, Sasse, McCain for starters in the Senate,, and others.....Just a thought.

Another thing, is what looks like the total falling apart of the Russian Collusion narrative the left has been pushing for almost two years. Did you watch that Papadopolous interview? My gosh no wonder the judge only gave him 14 days in jail for lying to the FBI. If what he said about Stephan Halpern is true, Papadopolous was being setup by our intel agencies. But if you take a walk back just months ago, people like Carl Bernstein were making claims that Papadopolous was the linchpin to Manafort who was up to their necks in Russian Collusion in the Trump campaign! Another thing is Bruce Ohr. The word is days ago Trump ordered the declassification of the documents pertaining to FISA warrants regarding Carter Page and all those involved in signing off on them which includes, Comey, McCabe, Yates and Rosenstein. It also includes 302's? pertaining to Ohr/Steele/Fusion and other documents. It has been going through the process to protect means and methods but it is being reported we will soon be able to read for ourselves what really happened. Because the whole Russian narrative is falling apart is why the left has now moved to Woodward's "Crazytown" narrative and mindless talking heads and leftist politicians are calling for the 25th amendment be enacted.
Also last week it was news that McCabe was under a Grand Jury probe. That and the news of progress with trade agreements with China, the progress in N. Korea talks, the fabulous news that blue collar worker segment of our economy is experiencing a huge increase in job opportunites really isn't being covered. Not surprised because it is all by design.

I used to think Woodward was a good guy... but nope, not anymore. He's lost his credibility calling both Mattis and Kelly liars. He had better prove they are both liars, and stop cashing checks his ass can't cover.

Pretty telling that some want to even put their faith into what those, who have an obvious axe to grind with this president, over the word of two high ranking generals.

I have been hoping for Rob Porter and Gary Cohen to come forward. They both did today and pushed back on what they supposedly did during their time in the WH.
Anonymous sources told Woodward they both thwarted, removing documents and memos from President Trump's desk...

I have no reason to disbelieve them. They no longer work in the WH, and as some have speculated, are not in any danger of "losing their jobs."

Both maintain loyalty to Trump and his administration.

"Deep Throat" remained anonymous for 30+ years and was a legitimate source...used by a legitimate, credible journalist: Bob Woodward.

The more revelations that come out the more I believe Woodward's sources are willful liars, thwarters, resisters.
Even Gary Cohen and Rob Porter have spoken out against Woodward's allegations;--(see source below)
Without the revelation of his sources, how can his account be viewed as credible? Too many decent, honest people discussed in the Woodward account are now coming forward with refutes.

The public also has the right to know how Woodward vetted his sources. Woodward should have been a neutral figure when writing his book so that the public gets the entire picture. What is more likely is that your ilk have abandoned any allegiance to the facts. Just because this president goes beyond the pale in every area of political ineptitude doesn't mean they're all out to get him. It means the right wing is fully invested in averting their eyes from the worst president ever.
