Will you choose perpetuate the hate or terminate it?

But when you cry wolf at misperceived racism or bigotry, you do even more harm to real victims of actual racism.

But it doesn't, yet you persist in misdiagnosing millions of people as "insane" simply because they disagree with you. Sounds like you're full of bile and hatred for your political opponents.

There is some truth to the claim that not all socalled racists are indeed racists. I would be that out of the 65 million Trump voters, there may indeed be some folks who are not racists. It is possible.

one full body massage with happy ending at a time, political women.

Its Democracy I believe everything in that pictures are my truefully ideology in Democracy plus AFS is my portion in election 2018's.

Do you have any proof that Trump has a mental disorder, or is that just the left's rabid opinion?

It is the opinion of numerous psychological experts actually. He is the textbook definition of narcissistic personality disorder. He has been objectively shown to be a compulsive liar.

Have you ever watched video interviews of psychopaths like Charles Manson or Ted Bundy? Their similarities to Trump are terrifying.

Doesn't change the fact that you're toxic and hateful. You cannot fight bigotry by adopting it.

How exactly does tolerating a thing eliminate it? Do you get rid of mice by sharing your house with them until they get bored and leave? If your dog gets the fleas do you just tell it to try not to scratch so much? If a madman is trying to shoot you with a gun, do you just go about your business and pretend he's not there?

When someone is legitimately causing harm, not only is there nothing wrong with harming them back, but you have a duty to do whatever it takes to stop them. Tolerance is not the same as being a doormat.

Well there is a lot to unpack there. First, you must establish the premise that what you're talking about is actually bigotry. If it is not, and you still seek to eliminate it, you are the problem.

Secondly, there is a huge difference between not being a bigot yourself against those you feel justified in being so biggoted because you have (mis)perceived them as bigots. This is why I say you cannot fight an evil (bigotry) by adopting it. Because whether you are accurately perceiving bigotry, or misperceiving it, you are still contributing to the amount of bigotry in the world. If that is the case, since you're one yourself, your enemy isn't bigotry at all, just your political opponents.

Thirdly, "At least I don't have access to nuclear weapons or the ability to ruin the lives of 300 million people when I get angry." is no justification for being a bigot. You are not as harmless as you think.

Finally, the choice is not between tolerance and hatred. You can fight what you are perceiving as bigotry without being so hateful. You could perhaps be persuasive, maybe utilize the Socratic method, reach just one mind and make the world a better place.

Do you get rid of mice by sharing your house with them until they get bored and leave? If your dog gets the fleas do you just tell it to try not to scratch so much?

These are not vermin we speak of, but your countrymen.

If a madman is trying to shoot you with a gun, do you just go about your business and pretend he's not there?

How is this analogous to anything here? You're the one who said, "the gloves have come off now, and your vote for Donald Trump caused it." So now your political opponents are madmen trying to kill you?

When someone is legitimately causing harm, not only is there nothing wrong with harming them back, but you have a duty to do whatever it takes to stop them. Tolerance is not the same as being a doormat.

At first I just thought you a toxic bigot, who will not convince anyone with that approach. Perhaps even a little hysterical. But now I'm starting to think you are actually dangerous.

Just because someone voted in a way you do not like gives you no justification to mistreat them. No one is harming you, if you do actually try and harm some peaceful citizen for their political opinion, you're worse than a bigot, you're the madman and may posterity forget you were our countryman.

It is the opinion of many lefty psychological experts.

Will you make a promise to yourself to stop PERPETUATING the political hate, and instead work to TERMINATE it.
I see we are on a downward spiral with the partisanship and blame.
I see lots of venom being spit back and forth, and each side says the other needs to stop first.

Rather than wait for someone else to take action and be civil, will you make a commitment to stop your own actions in this arena?
If you wait for someone else to be civil, you may never see it and you have no control over them anyway.
You DO have control over yourself.
What say you?

Trump voters are not toothless Bubbas.
Democrats do not have pointy tails.

1. YES...I will do my personal best to curb and angry and hateful speech I may do, and try and stop it before it reaches my keyboard. When someone else uses it against me, I will disengage and walk away. This is the internet after all and some type things merely for a reaction. I will not react.

2. NO... the other side is a bunch of soulless demons and are not deserving of any respect, politeness, courtesy, or even human decency afforded a stranger. They started it, and it is all their fault. I will PERPETUATE it because my side is right and they are wrong.

3. I choose to hide behind the bar until the brawl is over.
I disagree with your premise.

It is not the parties which determine whether a person should be treated with respect, politeness, courtesy, or decency.
It is what that person does.

Therefor, there are some in both parties who should never darken the hallways of any governing body again in their lifetime, and others who deserve our highest praise.
I can and should denigrate the failures of the individuals who **** **** up for money to my utmost ability.
As I must likewise praise those things I consider just and right if and when they appear.

So you think I have a mental problem because I talk to you exactly the way Trump talks to everyone. What exactly is causing Trump's mental disorder? At least I don't have access to nuclear weapons or the ability to ruin the lives of 300 million people when I get angry.

..and more TDS.

When Neo-Nazis and KKK members are parading through the streets happy as clams about the fact Trump was elected, the premise has been easily established.

Sounds, like something a lot of people said right before the Holocaust. I plan on stopping the next one before it happens.

Finally, the choice is not between tolerance and hatred. You can fight what you are perceiving as bigotry without being so hateful. You could perhaps be persuasive, maybe utilize the Socratic method, reach just one mind and make the world a better place.
HAHAHAHA!!!!!! you Think Trump supporters have the mental capacity to be reasoned with? You're cute.

These are not vermin we speak of, but your countrymen.
No, actually they're mostly vermin. There are two excuses for voting for Trump. 1.) You are massively ignorant. 2.) you are evil. I'll let his supporters decide which one applies to them, but one most certainly does. In reality though this isn't some guy you just met. There's a mountain of information about this piece of garbage, and if you're still on the wrong side of this argument, then it's too late to save you.

How is this analogous to anything here? You're the one who said, "the gloves have come off now, and your vote for Donald Trump caused it." So now your political opponents are madmen trying to kill you?
Me personally? Likely not. I'm a straight white man who can fake being Christian if I need to. But I defend the innocent even when I'm not part of the demographic in danger.

These aren't opinions. Sometimes people are flat out wrong. It's really not that hard. I'm sorry that you can't understand.

I'm sorry PleasantValley. The responses in this thread shows that while you have a noble goal, it will not be accomplished. Too many people are filled with too much hate and as such are beyond reason.

It's like my kids fighting. Both sides always look to the other side to stop first. It's easy right now for the right to say that we should stop now but they sure as hell weren't going to stop when Obama was president.

The haters are still in the minority, as is my hope.
Though the numbers have slipped from 70% vs. 30%.
It is now 65% to 35%.
We are still a more than 2 to 1 majority.
I like that.

We are twice the number of the haters and finger pointers.
so I see the glass 2/3 full with clean clear refreshing hope.

Let the haters scream and the finger pointers blame others for their own bad behavior. They have always been to most vocal anyway (and the most predictable).

Meanwhile, the rest of us, vote our choices, pay our bills, take responsibility for our own actions, and treat each other "most excellently", to borrow from Bill & Ted.
